Mother of vedas is about to become mother of the world

THE TRUE GAYATRI IS ERA ENERGY:

Regarding human beings for a fair length of time I am saying that their psyche requires sanctification. With reference to Gayatri too I have been saying that it is the Kamadhenu or wish fulfilling cow of Brahmins. If true Brahmin qualities manifest in your psyche then definitely the nectarine milk of this wish fulfilling cow too will be yours. If qualities of Brahmins like good will, gentlemanliness, honesty, ethical behavior etc dwell in your character then like Savitri, royal swan etc you shall be glorified. All principles that aid transformation of your inner personality rest in Gayatri Meditation. Whether you wish to accept this or not is your choice. Else cunningly keep chanting the Gayatri Mantra superficially while inwardly desiring to usurp others’ wealth. It is then your choice to ask for boons unethically and that goes against the Law of Karma or action. Only if true Gayatri enters your core personality it will make you great in character. Yesterday too I was mentioning this. The dream I had envisaged of ‘divinity in humans’ will definitely come true if you imbibe true Gayatri called Era Energy that encompasses rendering sacred one’s psyche. All this I have been preaching via magazines etc and will do so in future too.

SANCTIFICATION OF THE PSYCHE-A MIRACLE:

The fact that the human psyche can be sanctified is a miracle in itself. So many times I have detailed the biographies of great saints and sages. Most of them had been born in poor families and yet due to sanctification of their personalities they reached peaks of glory and grandeur. In reality the fact that man’s psyche gets purified is a miracle for sure. I have told you the life of Bata many times. It is indeed a miracle that both in material and spiritual living man’s soul oozes with good will and purity. Such miraculous personalities will always succeed in life. It is untrue that criminals succeed and the ethical man suffers. In fact it is vice versa. No doubt a criminal putting on the façade of honest ethical living gains a bit yet when his true unethical criminal leanings are proved and unveiled will not get even 1 cent from anyone. Such people’s gains never last for long. Once someone’s criminal nature is proved it will be well nigh difficult for him to even get drinking water. It is only when he masquerades as an ‘honest’ person that he benefits temporarily. He has put on the garb and façade of ethical behavior. A criminal always lands in jail and none others will allow him even to stand by their side.

In order to neo create human personality and in tandem with demands of time to manifest divinity in mankind I have a dream that teaches us that every human being and Gayatri devotee must imbibe deeply these sacred principles, thinking and behavior. Son! In order to usher in divinity in world humans, in order to neo create world society and in order to build high stature family life I have told you a few things. You must definitely keep it in mind.

THE ENTIRE FAMILY MUST IMBIBE GOOD QUALTIES:

From an individual we will now head towards the family. So far I spoke of Gayatri Meditation at the individual level. Now my new steps lead me to welfare of every family. Goddess Gayatri’s photo must adorn the walls of every household. Daily we must perform Balivaishwa Yajna. Every day we must do collective Arti. Every day in our house we must have spiritual discourses. Birthdays too must be celebrated. We are now entering the portals of a family from an individual. I simply abhor that you chant Gayatri all alone while censuring your family. Hence my new steps guide me from individual well being to neo creation of families. Now get ready to rebuild your families anew. Right from silver jubilee celebrations I have commenced all this. I just do not like it that you limit yourselves to lone individual Gayatri Meditation. In your entire family you are a lone Gayatri devotee. They mock you. No one agrees with you. Everyone labels you a fool. Son! I detest all this. I wish that just as very lovingly I helped you understand true spirituality, you too should follow suit and lovingly encourage your family members.

HEAVEN IS ABOUT TO MANIFEST ON PLANET EARTH:

Within the realm of individual development along with family rebuilding I am about to usher in Era Energy Gayatri. What will then happen? Now child! We will enter one more arena. In which one is this? The entire world wherein there is a capability of rendering planet earth, heavenly. Again and again we manifest heaven on earth. Can heaven truly manifest on earth? Yes son! This has happened in the past and will do so again. How will it happen? I have a few principles. If only such principles embedded in seed form with the Super Mantra Gayatri become widespread and get imbibed by the ordinary lay world humans know for sure that heaven will definitely manifest on earth. Guruji! What are your plans? Son! My plans encompass the entire world. Hence Goddess Gayatri is about to manifest in a new form in this silver jubilee celebrations. Who was she before this? Initially she was Mother of the Vedas. Who is Mother of Vedas? She is one from which manifested all the 4 Vedas. Mother of Vedas is one from which one gets details of all the 4 Vedas.

MOTHER OF VEDAS IS BECOMING THE WORLD MOTHER:

When preliminarily Goddess Gayatri came into this world her name was Mother of Vedas. Then what happened? Then her name became Mother of Divinity. How did this happen? Initially in the Rishi Age she was merely a principle, divine wisdom, self realization and a philosophy. Later this was rendered widespread. People started imbibing this in their daily living, hence in this land of India in which 3.3 billion demigods dwell, citizens resided, it was Super Energy Gayatri who gave birth to demigods while imbuing them with divine qualities, divine activity and divine nature and her name was Mother of Divinity. Now one more aspect will evolve in the form of Prajna Avatar. In the form of Era Energy its name and form will manifest. Which form will appear? Its name is World Mother. This is because she is about to give birth to a new world. The old world is either dead or is in the process of dying. It is such a lowly world whose picture I was depicting to you. I was talking of that era and I was talking of such humans that will die.

HUMAN BEINGS WILL BE TRANSFORMED TOTALLY:

Well, will man die or his nature? Son! If man’s inner nature dies or it reforms then a positive transformation of world humanity is in the offing. Will Valmiki die? Valmiki was killed by Naradji and gave birth to a new Valmiki. And who killed Amrapali? Lord Buddha killed her and then gave birth to a new Amrapali. Putana was killed by Lord Krishna. Tadka was killed by Lord Ram. In the same manner Buddha killed Amrapali. No revered sir! Their lives were not taken because they were seen to be alive. Yes child! No doubt they were alive but that Amrapali who was a prostitute she was killed and in her place a rejuvenated Amrapali was given birth to. What was her name? Her name now became Saint Amrapali. She went from one place to another to spread the message of divinity and spirituality worldwide.

A NEW WORLD WILL BE BORN:

What will happen? Will the world die? Will world annihilation or Pralaya take place? Yes world annihilation will take place. How will it happen? It will take place akin to Lord Parshuram chopping the heads off of vile brain people. Thus heads will be chopped off? Heads will not be chopped off physically. Then what will happen? Their intellect and brains will be positively transformed. Man’s intellect and character are focused only on selfishness and refuses to budge even an inch from it. He may chant many rosaries and read sacred scriptures yet he will cling only to selfish motives. He refuses to give up his demeaned lowly inner nature. Is man a beast or a devil? Whether a devil meditates or carries out some task he stands where he is. Then what will happen? Mankind will now die. Now a war will take place. Then who will die? Demons will die, vile intellect will die. That new world which will replace a vile intellect will have a few principles. The 3 legged or Tripada Gayatri has 3 principles. What are these? So far I was telling you about a healthy body, sacred mind and cultured society. These then are the 3 principles. Yes child! These are the 3 principles. Further we will see individual rebuilding, family rebuilding and world society neo creation. These too are principles to be adhered to.

GAYATRI MEANT FOR RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE:

]]>

Gayatri has 3 legs. It is called Tripada. When these 3 streams will be imbibed in our daily life its nature too will become thus. No sir! Goddess Gayatri will appear seated on a royal swan and she will come on a pigeon and come with a fat wad of currency and give us children. Hey! Stop talking foolishly. Sit quietly. Goddess Gayatri does not arrive thus. No sir! At night she will come with a bag of cash and in the morning she will come with sons for us and in the morning she will help solve our court case in our favor. And what will happen day after tomorrow? On that day she will bless us with job promotion. O you oaf! Friends! When Goddess Gayatri manifests what will she do? When she arrives she will do so separately for those who are responsible people. She will manifest differently for the lowly and backward. Who is she for lowly people? She is not that Mother Gayatri of responsible people. What is the form and nature of Mother Gayatri for those who are responsible? She will arrive as intellectual revolution in the arena of our thinking. She will come in our individual lives, social lives in the form of ethical revolution and in the form of a social revolution in our social lives. I had spoken of intellectual, ethical and social revolutions which are the 3 legs of Super Energy Gayatri.

A WORLD OF 3 SPECIAL QUALITIES:

What will be the nature of the entire world? Please predict. Tell us the future. Son! I am not an author of utopia that I will go about predicting things. Alright! If you wish to know the future I will say that when Era Energy Gayatri will appear you must ready yourselves. For what should you be ready? For all 3 aspects I have spoken of. What will be the foundation of the new world that will be born from the womb of the World Mother? Come! I will give you a glimpse of it. I do not know whether you will trust me but I promise you that the new world about to take birth will be of this type. In it 3 special qualities will be witnessed. Which are these? It will have 3 principles viz. equality, oneness and sanctity.

THE ERA OF EQUALITY:

What type of equality? Child! The next era will be of equality, so get ready. Equality will be attained in 3 ways in this world. First will be community based equality wherein your seniority based on communal lines will be thrown out. No sir! I am a Brahmin. Child! Keep your Brahmin hood too yourself! I am not denying that you are a Brahmin. And are you are Vaishya? What does it mean? It means we are tiny in stature. Beware! Never utter this again. You may remain a Brahmin if you are one. You continue teaching and you continue running your shop. Just because someone says he is high in status does not necessarily make him one. No sir! I am high stature. Son! A person is high in stature only due to good character and great tasks executed. Man cannot be great just because he is born in a high stature family. What will happen in future? Son! There will be equality as far as caste and lineage is concerned. One will not be labeled high-low simply on the basis of which caste one belongs to. No doubt the category of high-low exists and will remain in future too yet most definitely it will not be on the basis of caste or creed. I tell you all that in the new era about to arrive none will be called high stature simply based on caste distinction and none will be called low too on its basis.

NOT ONLY CASTE BUT GENDER EQUALITY TOO WILL USHER IN:

What more will happen in the new age? When equality will set in, what will be its nature? Along with caste there will come gender equality too. What does one mean by gender? It means males and females. Males and females will be rendered equal. In the world revolution that we will author and in the Avatar of the World Mother in it males and females will be given equal importance. No doubt love, affection and discipline will continue. What type of discipline? It will be akin to that seen between Lord Ram and his brother Bharat. Ram was a slave of Bharat and vice versa. Both were tied to each other by the cord of divine love and were not bound out of pressure of any sort. In future man woman will not be bound to each other out of any pressure. In fact they will bond with each other with true love. They will be ready to lovingly die for each other’s sake. In future gender inequality will be rooted out. No sir! In contemporary laws what more work will there exist? Son! In contemporary laws amendments will be noted which will be give equality to both sexes. If women will be asked to use a veil even men shall have to follow suit. No sir! I will force my wife to use a veil. Son! You may definitely do so but be ready to don a veil yourself too. No sir! I will not use a veil. Then child! You will perforce have to unveil the face of women in your family.

After a wife dies a man should remarry. Definitely this should happen. But then if a husband dies, the wife too should remarry. No sir! This cannot happen. Son! This will happen. No sir! After a husband dies the wife should burn herself on her husband’s burning funeral pyre (Sati). You are right. What will a widow achieve by remaining alive? A widow too should die. So what if she ascends the guillotine after her husband’s demise? So what if she dies by drowning herself? Is it alright? Yes son! If this tradition is wholesome it should continue yet remember that another tradition too must be set rolling. What is that? If a wife dies then her husband too should die. A husband too should perform Sati rites by burning himself on his wife’s funeral pyre. Sir! What if the husband flees? Then everyone should chase and catch hold of him. Just as you catch a mad dog, catch hold of the husband and tie him to the funeral pyre. No sir! How can this happen? O son! This will definitely happen. If a wife should be devoted to her husband then the husband too should be devoted to his wife. If a man after keeping 10 mistresses can live a life king size then a wife by marrying not only 5 but 25 Pandavas can be called loyal. In future this is about to take place.

A NEW ERA IS ABOUT TO MANIFEST:

In future this is bound to happen. The era of justice will arrive. An era of true discrimination will manifest. An era of faith will arrive and that era will usher in wherein today’s errant mankind will get amazed. In the new era will there be any differences based on caste and ancestry? No child! No differences will remain. In future both will remain at par. Son! We are about to usher in that new age as per the guidance of Lord Mahakal wherein the times will be refreshingly new. A new era will definitely arrive. This will happen whether you accept it or not. This very era of equality will manifest with a bang.

THE ERA OF FINANCIAL EQUALITY:

O! What type of equality will set in? Son! One more type of equality will set in. Categorization based on cash will arrive. So then are you talking of communism? Yes child! Regarding finances I allude to the fact that he who will earn will eat properly. No sir! We are very wealthy. I will earn money via rent and interest. No son! Now no longer will this happen. With simply money you will not be allowed to earn money and whatever wealth is inherited by you from your dead parents will be confiscated. Even previously wealth was confiscated. Previously society would congregate and would say that this one’s father has died leaving behind a lot of wealth. What should be done about it? This was decided by society. If the children were physically/mentally challenged or were handicapped in any way they were given enough wealth but if the children were capable and were earning enough wealth they will not given even a cent of that inheritance. Then what would happen to this inherited wealth? Son! Today all types of taxes like death tax etc are being aimed at this wealth. In future era what will happen regarding this? Like ancient times the entire wealth will be confiscated. In ancient times when Shraddha rites (post death) were performed such wealth confiscation took place.

The meaning of Shraddha rites was that if the deceased person has earned wealth and left it behind then it should be used for that person’s spiritual well being and also for world welfare activities. No sir! It should go to the son. It should be handed over to relatives. Why should it be given to them? Answer me please. No sir! The son should get inherited wealth. Why so? Answer me! When society requires wealth why should not it be handed over to it? No sir! The son should get it. No child! You are wrong.

Hence friends! What is about to happen? The ancient era will manifest anew. Today the concept of a World Mother seems a figment of wild imagination. You are content chanted 5 or 10 rosaries of Mantra chanting. This certainly is not a revolution. In fact true world human revolution will be manifested by the World Mother. And when she arrives it will be in this form. At that time each one will work hard. He will eat food from his money earned by making due efforts. When a person works hard ethically he will no longer drink alcohol, will not run after prostitutes, will not live a life of vain pomp, will not become a criminal and will not take recourse to deadly drugs. It is in fact money earned unethically that creates social downfall.

EQUALITY WILL MANIFEST:

In future times what exactly will take place in this world? The foundation of the Avatar of the World Mother which will manifest will be equality and sense of oneness. Now we are in the process of disengaging ourselves from the concept of partitioning and instead heading towards unity. How are we marching ahead? We do so in the form of one world nation, one world language and one world culture. If culture is to exist in this world it will be only one world culture.  It could be Hindu culture or Christian culture. It could be any culture but it will be singular. No sir! We will remain as Hindus, Christians etc. If so then you will devour each other’s blood and will cast aspersions against each other. Hence you must head towards world cultural unity. The world should be one nation. If different countries exist with borders they will fight with each other and thus shed blood. Hence there should be in place a single world government and the police should work under its jurisdiction. Whenever any region creates trouble and attacks another region the world government police will outwit them and put them behind bars. No sir! My army and your army will remain separated. Your army will no longer be allowed to function separately.

THIS THEN IS THE WORLD MOTHER:

I will now talk of the new age that will arrive. Along with unity there will exist only 1 world culture. There will be one culture, one nation and one language. Today you perceive alien languages like the deaf and dumb. Since you live in South India and I live in North India you speak Tamil and I speak Hindi. Why sir! Are you deaf and dumb? I am not deaf or dumb but I do not know your language. We do not understand each other’s language. It is these language barriers that partitions world humanity. In future there will remain only 1 world language. I was about to tell you this. I was giving you a glimpse of the World Mother. In the future new age that will arrive will be the ethical responsibility of every world human that will imbibe equality and purity. Man will shower love on man. Each man will help another in need. The habit one person oppressing another so as to drink even his blood will be rooted out. Neither will I drink your blood and nor will you drink mine. We must help each other. I will help you and you will help me. If such pious thinking is imbibed the world over you will see untold joy and peace everywhere.

THIS A GREAT DREAM THAT WILL DEFINITELY COME TRUE:

Today that money used in building war tanks, atom bombs etc can in future be used to build tractors. That cash used to design canons can be used to design water pumps. Those thousands of men who are being trained to kill and get killed in wars can instead be trained to become gardeners, teachers, sculptors, engineers, overseers and so on. Only one major change is need in humanity so that instead of sucking another’s blood he will instead aspire to cooperate and help everyone. If this viewpoint of sense of selfless service sets in our character then son! The world will overflow with joy. The world can be rendered so advanced and progressive. I have given you a glimpse of my dream. Guruji! You have shown us a dream? Yes! I have done exactly that. Is it true or false? It is true! In future you will see this only. We are marching speedily towards it. You will see that that these dreams which appear wild imagination to you will definitely fructify tomorrow or after that.

YOU YOURSELF MUST UNDERSTAND AND HELP OTHERS TOO TO UNDERSTAND GAYATRI’S RICH PHILOSOPHY:

Who will get credit to fulfill this dream? It will be given to Goddess Gayatri or Era Energy Gayatri. More than this credit will be given to all of you since today you are ready to daringly give your time, labor and energy for this stupendous task. Now, what more do we require to understand. Child! You do not need to understand anything more. If you simply understand Super Mantra Gayatri’s meaning, teaching, philosophy and underlying principle then most definitely teaching of all types of this new era like that of individual neo creation, family neo creation, society neo creation, intellectual revolution, social revolution, financial revolution and ethics based revolution dwell deep in it. Start giving a talk on Gayatri. Son! You have not read a book authored by me called ‘Gayatri Mahavijnan’. In its 2nd section is ‘Gayatri Smriti’. In it I have detailed the meaning of 24 alphabets of Gayatri Mantra. In it all arenas of life like social, ethical, economic and other forms of management are analyzed. You must read ‘Gayatri Gita’. In it there are only 13 verses. These encompass the details of Gayatri’s 9 words, 3 Vyahvrittis and one Om. In these 13 verses all types of management and philosophic principles have been outlined. Do read all this.

GIVE THE MEANING OF THE MANTRA-IMBIBE IT IN DAILY LIFE:

I will not be able to remember all this. Then forget it but note that wherever you go preach the teaching of Gayatri Mantra. Show others how to meditate, the method of worship, how to chant the Mantra and do Sandhya rites. But never forget one thing-What is the meaning of Gayatri Mantra? You must always tell others its meaning. Tell people that it not enough merely to hear its meaning. It is not enough merely to hear epic Ramayan. It is just not enough to hear discourses on Shrimad Bhagwat. It is not enough to hear non-stop religious songs. It is most important to imbibe in life these religious songs, Gita, Ramayan and so on. If you fail to imbibe their teachings in life and only understood its import that by hearing these discourses one goes to heaven then know for sure that it will be erroneous thinking. If this happens man will be satisfied with mere listening. Never should you be contented with mere hearing of religious matters. No doubt it is useful to hear all this and I can show you its deep import too but yet it is our responsibility to tell all that mere listening is not enough.

EMBEDDED IN THIS SUPER MANTRA IS ALL THE WISDOM OF GREAT RISHIS:

To cure malaria fever quinine should be used. Did you hear? Yes sir! I did hear. Did you tell others? Yes sir! I did so. Now what? Now you will be cured. You have heard that the medicine for malaria is quinine. Yes sir! Glory to you sir! Very true sir! Will malaria be cured by listening thus? No sir! No it will not be cured. Why not? Yesterday I had told you its cure and you had nodded your head in assent. Then why was it not cured? O revered sir! The medicine was not taken by the patient. If the medicine is not administered, malaria will not be cured. There is no Mantra which will benefit you if you keep repeating with your tongue and fail to imbibe its deep import in daily living. If you think that you distance Mantra chanting from imbibing in daily life, from social transactions then child! There was no such Mantra before and will not exist in future too which will benefit us by mere tongue oriented repetition. Son! How can you benefit by mere lip service? Never can this happen that by mere repetition of alphabets of Mantras one benefits in any way. It is not just enough to repeat alphabets. No doubt it is required, apt and important to chant the Mantra but it is not enough in itself. Along with chanting the Mantra’s philosophy should be practiced in day to day living. In order to imbibe it along with its application we must understand its philosophic tenets. You must go the layman and teach him the underlying deep import of Gayatri Mantra. In it lies divine wisdom which was known to Rishis of ancient times. Today it is important to render it well managed. For advent of a bright world future in the 21st century this divine wisdom is such that if you can spread its holy light everywhere then very easily the darkness prevailing in the world today will recede from its very fount.

Always loved the song “Tell Me” by Bobby Valentino, mainly because of the instrumentals. Found out that those instrumentals were sampled from this soundtrack from the movie Hero with Jet Li.

Brilliant talent of the world must be used wholesomely

Monday, September 26th, 2011

Today about 17.5 million people are getting trained for waging wars. They are being trained to imbibe the ‘art’ of using murderous weapon, killing other humans and thus destroying precious wealth of the world. This then is their ‘artistic skills’. All specialties of their inner personality are used for this goal.  Apart from this some 70 million people are immersed in designing/production of weapons and running industries to fulfill other requirements related to the armed forces. Apart from this is the highly intellectual set of people who via their brain talent conduct such research and unearth techniques with the aid of which very easily more and more destruction can ensue. They think that their talent shall succeed by unfolding less expensive and more potent solutions for destroying world people and hordes of wealth.

In this world there are more than 15 million people whose annual income is about 500 rupees. Half of the lay public whose monthly income is 40 rupees is such whose average income is even worse. Very rarely they eat a sumptuous meal and get enough cloth to hide their naked starved bodies. Majority of them just gobble a little food procured somehow and with tattered cloth try to hide their nakedness.

For this poor world public can we not come forward and do something? Are those powerful people incapable of doing the needful in this direction? Those who analyze all this studiously tell us that if not all at least large powerful nations of the world get together and work in this direction a lot good can be done. If these countries decide to use that wealth and human resources so far misused in waging futile wars is used to uplift humanity immersed in strife then the income of these poor 15 million people can double in a few months itself. They will now earn 1000 instead of 500 rupees per year. Thus by crossing the line of intense poverty for the first time they shall tangibly attain at least the basic requirements of daily living.

If all this wealth is used for constructing houses in the subsequent year then about each of these 200 million people will get a respectable roof over their heads that today are living in slums which are worse than sheds in which animals are kept. If gigantic arrangements are made for less expensive cottage industries in the 1st year, building homes in the 2nd year, education in the 3rd year, health in the 4th year and electricity/dams/transport/communication etc in the 5th year then this 5 year plan can positively transform the destiny of 17.5 billion people that constitute half the world’s population. In fact this can be done by Russia and USA itself. And even if not with full zeal even with limited zeal other countries of the world step in this direction know for sure that all the backwardness of the world shall disappear into thin air. Thus nowhere shall we see the terrific Tandav dance of agony and downfall which today with its hell like burning and stench is marring the world’s atmosphere.

Man possesses both the power to destroy and create too. He can destroy and neo create too. Once energy is used for a particular purpose it will reach its target be it destruction or creation.

For eons together our eyes visualize and our ears hear about the manifold amount of world population and wealth being destroyed during battles and wars waged. Innumerable people were involved in building towns, dams and bridges for which untold amount of material means were used. These in fact were centers of hope for world lay public. It was believed that under its shelter many people for a long time span shall get comfort so as to lead peaceful lives. But alas all their hopes fizzled to naught. Bombs made from basket full of dynamite were dropped on these buildings and in a jiffy they were pounded to dust. In this manner creation was defeated and destruction tasted victory.

]]>

Explosions ensue in hot wars, dynamite too erupts in a fiery manner and dead corpses get dragged here and there. The children of those who die wail aloud in agony. Poverty, inflation, starvation and diseases that are the result of untold destruction of wealth aid in sprouting of many hardships and although man erroneously thinks wars to be cheap in fact in actuality are very expensive.

Studies by Soviet Union conclude that merely in the production of nuclear weapons 20000 such scientists and technicians are at work that from the standpoint of intellectual skills are of very high stature. Added to this, their aides’ number are even much more. As per a report published by UN amongst scientists and technicians of the world 25% are immersed in production and newer inventions of war technology/weapon designing. 50% of expenses of the world scientific fraternity is used for paraphernalia required by soldiers to fight horrific wars. Three fourths of inter planetary satellites set rolling in interstellar space are meant to find information of war based activities and get all secret data. According to ILO in the whole world about 200 million people are enlisted in the army. Every year this number increases n fold. It is inferred that 4 parts of the world’s labor force is immersed in social tasks and 3 parts are of the soldier class. On the one hand so much wealth power and human resources are being used for destructive purposes whereas on the other hand due to lack of wealth a major portion of the world’s population faces various types of problems and strife.

According to well known specialists on an average in this world 1 million dollars are used for weapons per minute. With the help of so much cash at least 100 new jobs can be created or else 100 flats can be built. If for 6 minutes production of weapons is stopped then with this saved money a very modern hospital with latest medical technology can be constructed.

With the amount of expenses used to produce weapons per minute, 4000 tons milk can be bought.

Innumerable people the world over are unable to get 2 square meals a day. Hence even if for 1 minute weapon production is stalled these hungry people can imbibe new life force. This is the great thinking of known specialists.

This amount of cash spent on war technology helps merely in creating streams of bloodshed of world humanity. These battles and wars are never initiated for some great ideology or principle but that the chief aim behind it is to boss and lord over other nations. When a war is waged against a particular country, the latter too out of self defense has to use weapons. Whose path was apt and whose was otherwise? This decision ordinarily is taken on the basis of who won or not. Those who win are known to use broadcasting communication systems to prove their point as correct.

Regarding this innumerable innocents are killed and many families are ruined. In the past 2 world wars there was untold loss of wealth and human life. Even if one tries to imagine this our hands will stand on end. If for 1 year weapon production is stopped then this wealth saved can solve so many problems faced the world over. In order to ward off illiteracy in the world it takes on an average 0.1 million rupees to open 1 primary school. In this manner 4,147,000 such schools can be opened. If in 1 school 200 students get admission then primary education can thus be imparted to 829,440,000 children of the world. From the above mentioned amount of cash saved 414,000 intermediate colleges can be opened (each made from 1 million rupees) or else for higher education if universities are inaugurated 414 universities can be opened (each costing 1,000,000,000 rupees) within 1 year itself.

Instead of literacy this cash is used to ward off diseases and augment good health 4,146,200 primary health centers can be opened (each costing 0.1 million rupees). Else modern medical equipment each made from 0.5 million rupees and 829,400 hospitals with adept medical surgeons can be opened. If from one primary health center even if 500 people get good medical treatment then from the total number of primary health clinics opened 283,600,000 people can benefit from medical treatment given there. If wealth used for weapon building is instead diverted for making arrangements for food distribution in the world, then about 34,300 people can be given food every year per individual for 1200 rupees.

The immediate needs of basic human living are food, health and education. If step by step the amount used for weapon production per year is diverted to solve each world problem in a well managed manner then by and by in a few years the world can gain victory over problems faced in the arena of food, education and health. In the 2nd phase for the all round advancement of the human race other programs can be taken up.

But all this is possible only when a wholesome intellect advances in world humans because with a tainted intellect we can stare gloomily at a downfall only. It is being seen that man’s legs are heading towards destruction. Even from the past incidents of destruction/downfall humans refuse to learn a lesson and realize deeply how much wealth and human lives have been lost. It is inferred that on 9th March 1945 when USA dropped an explosive material of 2000 ton from a 276 B-29 plane on Tokyo 186,000 Japanese were killed and the city’s 158 square miles area burnt to ashes and along with this 14 aircrafts were destroyed totally.

On 6th August 1945 this very B-29 air plane dropped the first hydrogen bomb on Hiroshima and after 3 days it dropped and 2nd atom bomb on Nagasaki.

As a result of these 2 bomb explosions about 200,000 people died. In fact till today people are yet enduring the malefic radioactive effects of these terrible bomb explosions.

If these powerful personalities involved in sending scores of people into the jaws of death had instead used their skills in the field of education, agriculture, gardening, sculpting, acting etc they could have aided great world human progress. But what can we say about demons inebriated by war frenzy? They are only immersed in arrogantly sitting on the heads of those people who steer the ship called this world and thus inflict untold wealth and human loss the world over.

A Brief History Of “Uruguay 30″

The world cup “Uruguay 30″ was the first ever organized with only 13 teams participating in a tournament which was by invitation. This in contrast to today’s world cups which are by qualification. As for the 13 teams which participated, two were from North America (USA and Mexico), seven were from South America (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Paraguay) while only four were from Europe; given the fact that costs of traveling in those days were very costly.

Uruguay was chosen as the host for the first world cup given that they were the defending Olympic champions at time. As for the tournament itself it was held exclusively in Montevideo and in three stadiums though most of the games were played in the “Centenario”. This stadium being constructed specially for this world cup and named “Centario” (meaning one hundred years) in honor of Uruguay’s 100 years of independence.

The world cup in Uruguay was organized by putting the 13 teams in to four groups with the winners of each group going in to the semifinals and eventually in to the final and unlike today there was no match played for third place. Of course due to the odd number of teams one group had four countries while the other three had only three.

Italy was among one of the countries that did not participate in this world cup despite having a strong team at the time which left Uruguay and Argentina, as the ones who would be most likely to win the tournament which started it all with moments such as these.

1. France 4 Mexico 1 (First Round)

In this game France’s L. Laurent scored the first ever goal in world cup history yet France was not really the first team to win a game, given that that at the same time the USA was playing Belgium in a match which was won by the team from North America by 3-0.

2. Argentina 1 France (First Round)

In this game France’s goalkeeper was the first to leave a match injured (20 minutes in to the game) yet given the rules of the day France could not enter a substitute player in his place. This meaning France found itself in a difficult situation which was made more so when Argentina’s Monti injured Laurent, who stayed on the field but did little other than limp through out the match. This game will also be remembered for the referee ending the match 6 minutes early and just as France had a man in a clear position to score a goal. As for the game, it would be restarted. France for its part had been forced to play two games in a period of 48 hours.

3. Argentina 6 Mexico 3 (First Round)

This game was the first one to feature a penalty as well as being the highest scoring match of the tournament. Argentina’s Stabile also became the first South American player to score three goals in a final though not the first to do so, as was originally thought.

4. USA 3 Paraguay 0 (First Round)

In this game the USA’s Patenaude became the first player to score three goals in a world cup match while the USA became the first and so far only team from North America to qualify as far as the semifinal.

4. Romania 3 Peru 1 (First Round)

In this game Peru’s Galindo became the first player ever sent off the field while the crowd in attendance is said to have been the smallest ever at a world cup match. It officially being 2,459 though the generally accepted figure is said to have been 300.

5. Argentina 6 USA 1 (Semifinal)

This was the first ever semifinal encounter. The United States for its part was declared as having come in third in this world cup though the reasons were never made clear as to why; given that a match for third place was not played.

6. Uruguay 4 Argentina 2 (Final)

This was the first ever final with Dorado for Uruguay scoring the first goal. As for a curious note regarding this first final. The first half was played with a ball from Argentina which ended 2-1 in favor of Argentina while the second half was played with a Uruguayan ball which ended in a 4-2 victory for Uruguay.

The first world cup was held in the winter which led to some of the games being played in the snow yet despite these factors; it can honestly be said that Argentina and Uruguay were the best teams in not only this world cup but of the time. As would be proven in this first tournament. It being Uruguay to claim the title while Argentina’s Stabile was top goal scorer with eight goals to his credit. In conclusion one can say though the first world cup lacked in organization and other aspects, it was the first world cup ever to be played as well as being the one that started it all so many years ago.

A Brief History Of “Italy 34″

Italy 34 was the second world cup to be played as well as the first one to be hosted by a European country. It being Italy who won their first championship in a tournament which they also had to qualify for along with 15 other teams. This factor making Italy the first and last nation to have to qualify for a world cup which they, themselves organized. Uruguay however in this second world cup refused to participate, feeling the need to get even with Italy and other European nations who did not participate in Uruguay 30. It being this factor which makes Uruguay the first and so far last nation not to participate in a world cup when they were defending champions. South America however despite Uruguay’s absence would not go unrepresented in Italy 34 as Brazil and Argentina did not fail to make their presence along with 14 other teams in what would be the first world cup with 16 nations.

Italy 34 was also organized in a different fashion than Uruguay 30 as it was in this tournament where teams were made to play each other in 8 games with the winners going on to the next round which was the quarterfinals. It being there where once more teams played each other in direct matches with winners going on to the semifinals where they again played one another; with the winning teams going on to the final while the loosing teams played for third place. It in fact being a system like the one which is used now a days, only that they started from what today is the round of 16. As a curious note regarding the games of Italy 34, they were all played simultaneously; in the sense that all first round matches were played on the same date and time. This also the case with quarterfinal matches as well as those in the semifinal.

For Italy this was the first world cup which they won as well as the one which established them as one of the dominating teams in world football. It being till this day that Italy is amongst the top four nations in the sport. As for Italy 34, it had many a fine moment such as.

1. Hungary 4 Egypt 2 (First Round)

Egypt was in fact not only the first African team to qualify for a world cup but was also the first one to do so which was neither from Europe or the Americas.

2. Austria 3 France 2 (First Round)

This game ended 1-1 after the regular 90 minutes which made it the first one in world cup history to go in to overtime.

3. Italy 1 Spain 1 (Quarterfinals)

This was the first ever game to end in a draw which required these two teams to replay the match. This was also one of the first quarterfinal games ever played in a world cup though it would be hard to say it was the first due to the fact that all four quarterfinal matches were played simultaneously.

4. Italy 1 Spain 0 (Quarterfinals)

Because the first encounter finished in a 1-1 draw, Italy and Spain had to replay their match which made this the first one ever to have to be replayed.

Germany 3 Austria 2 (For Third Place)

This was the first game ever to take place for third place.

Italy 2 Czechoslovakia 1 (Final)

This was the first final in which the loosing team scored the first goal as well as being the first one to go in to overtime. As for Italy, they became the first European team to win a world cup. Czechoslovakia for their part despite coming in second did have Nejedly on their team; who because of his five goals was top goal scorer of the tournament. This being similar to Argentina in 30 who also lost in the final but had the top goal scorer.

As a footnote regarding Italy, they had a player on their team by the name of Monti; who not only was born in Argentina but even played for them in the previous world cup. Monti becoming the first player ever to not only play in two world cups for two different teams but to reach two finals with different teams. Monti regarding his having played for two different teams is not alone however in having done so in two finals for two different teams is, as no other player in history has accomplished this feat and no other ever will; as this is now strictly forbidden by FIFA.

Italy won the second world cup in a tournament noted for brutality that would see many an injury, specially in both its matches against Spain yet in spite of it all; Italy did prevail at end. Italy also became the first world champion to have to play two games that went in to overtime as well as a replay. In conclusion one could say that Italy 34 was a tournament that included many a foul and kick as such was the game back then in a time before it was known for the finesse and skill most people now associate it with.

A Brief History Of “France 38″

France 38 was the third world cup ever to be played and though it was organized in the exact same manner in which Italy 34 was, it did have factors which made it unique yet some being as a result of the politics of the time which was soon to lead the world in to another world war. Austria in fact did qualify to this world cup and would have played in the first round against Sweden had it not been for the fact that Nazi Germany annexed it to form part of the third Reich. This meaning that Austria was unable to present a team to play against Sweden who received a walkover in their first match.

Italy for its part won their second world cup and became the first nation to claim this title for the second time. This being the case while France became both the first host nation to not only not win the world cup but be eliminated in quarterfinals in a tournament that included the following highlights.

1. Sweden Vs Austria (First Round)

This match was never played given that Austria no longer existed as an independent nation which meant that they were forced to forfeit. Sweden received a walkover which was the first and so far last time this has ever occurred in a world cup.

2. Brazil 6 Poland 5 (First Round)

This match which after regulation time ended at four goals a piece, set a record for most goals scored in a game yet it did not beat the Italy Vs USA of the previous world cup for goals scored during regulation time. In this game Poland’s Wilimowski also became the first player ever to score four goals in a world cup match though one was in overtime and so far he is the only player to do so in a loosing effort. Brazil became the first South American team to play in three world cups as well as having the first South American player (Leonidas) to score in two world cups.

3. Switzerland 4 Germany 2 (Replay In The First Round)

In this match Switzerland’s Lörtscher became the first player to score an own goal in a world cup.

4. Italy 3 France 1 (Quarterfinal)

When France lost this match it became the first host nation ever to loose in a world cup.

5. Brazil 4 Sweden 2 (Match For Third)

Brazil became the first South American team to come in third in a world cup.

6. Italy 4 Hungary 2

Italy became the first team to repeat as champions as well as the first to have two players (Colaussi and Piola) score two goals a piece in a final.

In France 38, Italy won the world cup for the second time yet events were leading the world to war and it would not be till 1950 that another world cup was held. It being a whole generation of players that was lost to the game yet return football would with not only more world cups but great games.

A Brief History Of “Brazil 50″

Brazil 50 was an important tournament in many regards. One of them being that it was the first world cup to be held after world war II which brought back the interest of many nations. Italy being one of them, who not only was recovering from World War II but in fact had little if any desire to participate in the world cup, this perhaps due to how most of the players on their national team also played for the club “Torino” who suffered a plane crash that killed all the members of their team. Italy however were the defending world champions at the time and though it has not been proven, it is believed that one of the arguments FIFA used to convince Italy; was the offer of paying for all their traveling expenses.

To a certain extent Brazil 50 will be largely remembered for the teams that did not play. Germany being amongst them since they had been suspended because of the war. Argentina for its part had a great team at that time which had won several South American champions yet it was because of problems with Brazil that they chose to not even participate in the eliminations leading up to the world cup.

Brazil 50 was also a strange world cup from another aspect and that being the unique way it was organized. It being a tournament in which 16 teams were originally supposed to play in yet India, Scotland and Turkey withdrew before competition even started. This even leading to FIFA installing a rule that forced teams to participate in a world cup, if they had qualified or face sanctions; naturally FIFA making exceptions if a country for financial or political reasons or a natural disaster is unable to participate.

As for Brazil 50 itself, it was staged in the following manner, teams were placed in to four groups of four teams each with the winner of each group going on to not even the semifinals like had been the case in Uruguay 30 but another round robin group to determine the first four places in the tournament. This in fact meaning that Brazil 50 not only did not have quarterfinals but not even semifinals or a final for that matter or not one in the way which was played in every single world cup before or since. As for matches of interest, I would say the following are the ones which should be looked at.

1. Brazil 2 Switzerland 2 (First Round)

This was the first time a host nation drew in a match.

2. USA 1 England 0 (First Round)

This match was compared to the “shot heard round the world” of the American war of independence. It allowing the English to see that their football was not as great as they had believed, it being to the extent that when many in England read about this match in the paper; they thought the headline “USA 1 England 0″ had been a misprint.

3. Italy 3 Sweden 2 (First Round)

This was the first match in which a defending champion lost yet for Italy it also meant elimination in the first round though if they had at least drawn; it would have been them who would have gone on to the next round. Italy’s group was one of only three teams as India withdrew from the competition when they were told they could not play barefoot.

4. Uruguay 8 Bolivia 0 (First Round)

This match in fact was the smallest group in world cup history. As it was the one that decided which team from this group of two would end up among the top four teams of the tournament.  This being the situation since Scotland and Turkey were originally supposed to be in this group but both withdrew before the world cup started. Scotland not wanting to participate since they would not represent the UK as the first team. Of course for my part, I wonder why didn’t they just put other teams from the tournament in to this group.

5. Sweden 3 Spain 1 (Second Round)

This match settled which one of these two teams would come in third place though it would be unfair to say this was a third place encounter, due to the fact that if it had finished in a draw it would have been Spain to claim this position. This match as a curious point was played at the exact same time and day as the one which decided between Uruguay and Brazil who would win the Jules Rimet trophy which before this tournament was not officially referred to as such.

6. Uruguay 2 Brazil 1 (Second Round)

This match was hailed as the final of the tournament though in reality it was not. As it would be fairer to say it was the last game in a league played amongst only four teams. Uruguay for its part however thanks to their win became champion for the second and so far last time in their history while Brazil in all honesty, one could say finished second; this as opposed to merely being a looser of the final. Of course this game was particularly painful for Brazilians given the facts that they were playing at home and that all they needed to be declared champions was a draw. Another strange factor about this so called final was that to get to it Uruguay only had to play three games while Brazil had to play five games.

In conclusion it would be fair to say that Uruguay deserved their championship as they did defeat Brazil on their home soil to take it yet they did play two matches less. As for Italy they lost great players because of the war yet in spite it all were able to get together a wonderful team which would have been able perform well yet it was not to be. This being the case as most of their players died in the plane crash suffered by Torino. All in an accident which brought more tragedy on to Italian football and it would not be till many years that Italy was able to get a team to compete at the top again.

As a footnote, we might say that this world cup had two defending champions. As Uruguay had not really lost its title since they won it in 1930 because they had not defended it in either Italy 30 or France 38 while Italy had won the previous edition of this tournament.

A Brief History Of “Switzerland 54″

The world cup in Switzerland was probably one of the greatest ever played if statistics are anything to go by and though there is a no footage (or at least none that I know of) of any matches in their entirety but only of a few highlights, most of which are unclear; I believe it must have been something truly worth watching. As how else can a semifinal match like Hungary Vs Uruguay be described when a team that is twice world champion and undefeated in the world cup meets the one that was innovating football at the time. It being this game which ended 4-2 in favor of the Hungarians, who needed overtime to go on to the final yet to a certain extent matches like these were the norm in this world cup. This being the case in Switzerland 54 where three records for scoring were set with the first being the highest number of goals ever scored in a world cup (140) along with the highest number of goals ever scored in a world cup match (12) as well as the highest goal scoring average per game which was what today would be an unthinkable 5.38. Switzerland’s record of 140 goals was eventually surpassed in Spain 82 where 142 goals were scored yet I believe that the goal per game average established in Switzerland 54 will probably never be broken.

Organization wise Switzerland 54 was strange in being a world cup where 16 teams were put in to four groups with four teams each yet for some reason not all the teams in the groups actually played against each other. It being a case where England and Italy were in the same first round group yet did not play against one another while Italy was made to play Switzerland twice. The system basically being one in which a team faced two of the other teams in the group and if they won they went straight to the next round. This being the case with Hungary, who in their first two matches defeated both South Korea and Germany and therefore did not have to play against Turkey; who was also in their group. Of course if a team lost their first two games like South Korea did against both Hungary and Turkey, then they were eliminated and were not required to play against the fourth team in their group. This the case for those that won or lost their first two games yet for those that finished tied on points; it was a third game that awaited them in order to progress to the quarterfinals. It being this which was required of Germany and Switzerland to get through the first round, as Germany beat Turkey for the second time in the tournament while Switzerland did like wise with Italy. After the first round it was as it would be today from the stage of the quarterfinals where teams face each other until there are two to play for third place and another two to play the final.

Italy in this world cup had not yet fully recovered from having lost most of their great team of the late 40′s in a plane crash. This leading to their early exist from the world cup at the hands of Switzerland yet teams like Hungary, Uruguay and Germany made for a great spectacle that included truly outstanding matches such as these.

1. Brazil 1 Yugoslavia 1 (First Round)

For some very strange reason this game had overtime added to it despite the fact that a draw was sufficient for both teams to qualify while the other two teams (France and Mexico) had already been eliminated.

2. Hungary 9 South Korea 0 (First Round)

This match set the record for most goals scored by one team and for the biggest margin of victory by one team over another. South Korea lost both its games in this world cup by a combined 16-0 yet in spite of this; as the first Asian team to participate in the world cup made a favorable impression on the local fans who received their efforts with both friendship and respect.

3. Hungary 8 Germany 3 (First Round)

This match with 11 goals set a record for most goals scored in a single match. It also being in this game that Germany fielded mostly a team of substitutes while Puskas was injured and did not return to action till the final.

4. Germany 7 Turkey 2 (First Round)

This was the first time two teams played each other in the same tournament in a game that was not a replay but a play off encounter.

5. Switzerland 4 Italy 1  (First Round)

This game was played at the exact same time and date as the other play off match between Germany and Turkey. It also being the first and last time Italy lost two games in the same world cup to the same team.

6. Austria 7 Switzerland 5 (Quarterfinals)

With 12 goals this was and still is the highest scoring match of all time yet even more goals could have been scored as Austria missed a penalty.

7. Hungary 4 Brazil 2 (Quarterfinals)

In this game Hungary’s Kocsis scored his 8th and 9th goal of the tournament which both tied and set the record for most goals scored in a single world cup.

8. Hungary 4 Uruguay 2 (Semifinal)

In this game Hungary’s Kocsis scored his 10th and 11th goal of the tournament which both reset the record for most goals scored in a tournament and made him the top scorer in world cup history at the time. Kocsis also becoming the first player ever to score 10 goals or more in a single world cup. This a feat which till this day has only been accomplished by two other players; Fontaine (13 goals) of France in 58 and Muller (10) of Germany in 70. Kocsis however did not score in the final which left his tally at 11 for the tournament.

9. Germany 3 Hungary 2 (Final)

In this final Hungary became the first and so far last team to loose a final despite having led at one point of the game by two goals. This being the case as Hungary scored the first two goals of the game. Germany for its part became the first team to come back from a 2-0 deficit to win a final. This match was also the first time, two teams met each other twice in the same world cup and in two different stages of the tournament. As an extra comment to this final, it continued a pattern which had been set in the first world cup; that the high scorer of the tournament did not play for the team which won the tournament. This in fact being a trend which was broken in Chile 62 when Brazil had two players (Vava and Garrincha) who were tied with 4 other players for top goal scorer of the tournament.

In conclusion, one could say that the world cup in Switzerland was truly exceptional in many ways which not only included the highest goal scoring average per game but all those wonderful plays that had little if anything to do with defense; in a time which is most likely never to return.

A Brief History Of “Sweden 58″

The world cup in Sweden was the first and last one to which Italy did not qualify to. This perhaps making it unique in this aspect yet also in the fact that it was the first world cup in which every group had four teams with each one of these teams having to play one another regardless of weather they were already quailed to the next round or eliminated. Sweden 58 was also the last world cup in which play off games were needed to decide who would advance in to the quarterfinals between teams which finished level on points. It being in this world cup where three out of the four second place teams got through to the quarterfinals due to these games. This system would be replaced by goal difference which is the one being used today to decide who qualifies when two teams or more end up tied on points. Sweden 58 was also the first world cup ever televised though in black and white and without the benefit of instant replays.

Naturally, as with all other world cups; Sweden 58 also had its outstanding moments which are as follows.

1. Northern Ireland 2 Czechoslovakia 1 (First Round Play Off)

This was an extra game which even required overtime to decide which one of these two teams would qualify in to the quarterfinals. In today’s system Czechoslovakia would have qualified due to goal difference.

2. Brazil 2 USSR 0 (First Round)

In this game Brazil’s Pele at 17 became the youngest player ever to play in a world cup.

3. Brazil 1 Wales 0 (Quarterfinals)

In this game Brazil’s Pele became the youngest player to ever score a goal in a world cup.

4. Brazil 5 France 2 (Semifinal)

In this game Brazil’s Pele became the youngest player ever to score 3 goals not only in a semifinal but in a world cup game.

5. France 6 Germany 3 (Match For Third Place)

This was and still is the highest scoring match for third place ever played in a world cup. It also being in this match that France’s Fontaine scored four goals which raised his total to 13 for the tournament. This total not only being to this day the highest ever scored in a world cup but also making Fontaine the highest goal scorer in world cup history. Sweden 58 however would be Fontaine’s first and last world cup yet his 13 goals were enough to keep him as the highest goal scorer in the world cup till 74; when Germany’s Muller broke his record. As an added note, in Sweden 58; Fontaine became the first player to score in six games.

6. Brazil 5 Sweden 2 (Final)

This was the first ever final played between a South American and European team with Brazil becoming the first and so far only South American team to win a world cup in Europe. This was and still remains as the highest scoring final ever played in the history of the world cups. In this final Brazil also became the first South American team to have two players (Pele and Vava) score two goals each. Pele became the youngest player not only to win a world cup but to score in a final. Sweden for its part became the first team to ever loose a final while playing in their own country. This the case since the world cup in 1950 did not really have a final in the formal sense of the word.

Sweden 58 was a world cup noted for not only Fontaine’s 13 goals but for Brazil, who fielded such greats as Garrincha, Didi, Vava, Pele, Santos and Zagalo on a team which was unquestionable one of the greatest of all time. They even going to win the next world cup with basically the same team minus Pele, who due to injury in Brazil’s second game was replaced by Amarildo for the rest of the tournament.  As a footnote Sweden 58 was also the first world cup in which all teams that finished in the top four were required to play at least six games. This being a change from Switzerland 54 where Hungary only played five games; including the final.

A Brief History Of The FIFA World Cups (Part Two)

A Brief History Of “Chile 62″

The motto of the World Cup Chile 62 was “porque no tenemos nada, lo haremos todo” (because we have nothing, we will make everything). This due to the earthquake which struck Chile in the months leading up to the world cup that left this South American country with all to do in order to be ready on time yet it was to their credit that the job was completed on schedule.

Chile 62 was the first world cup in which defensive play became a factor in the game as before this was something teams almost never thought about to the extent that matches like the France 6 Germany 3 which decided third place in the previous cup were not so rare. It being in Chile 62 that teams began to worry not so much about winning but not loosing, perhaps thinking that one should win if one scored two goals or more. This tournament in fact putting an end to world cups like the one in 54 which saw Hungary score 27 goals in 5 games while Germany scored 23 in 6 games or like the one in 58 which saw Fontaine of France score 13 goals in 6 games or a final in which 7 goals were scored.

Chile 62 was also rare in being the one that led to FIFA passing a rule that if a player played for one country he could not do so for another one. This due to players like Czechoslovakia’s Kubala who ended up playing for not only Czechoslovakia but Hungary and Spain while Hungary’s Puskas even scored a goal for Spain in Chile 62 against Mexico to give them a 1-0 victory. Chile 62 was also a world cup in which unfortunately many of Europe’s best players of the time either did not really play as well as was expected of them such as Yashin of the USSR or Spain’s Gento or did not play at all. As was the case with Di Stefano, who despite being fit in training was not allowed to play for Spain and perhaps because of this became arguably the best player never to have played in a world cup.

Another interesting factor about Chile 62 was the way Brazil won their opening match against Mexico by 2-0 while Uruguay won theirs against Colombia by 2-1 while Argentina was theirs against Bulgaria by 1-0 yet these three teams despite winning were still severely criticized in their own countries. Chile 62 was also unique in being the only world cup so far in which 6 players finished tied for top goal scorer at 4 goals a piece. The list of these players including Vava (Brazil), Garrincha (Brazil), Albert (Hungary), Ivanov (USSR), Jerkovic (Yugoslavia) and Sanchez (Chile). Regarding the manner in which the tournament was played, this was also the first world cup in which teams did not have to play each other twice in the first round to determine which of the two went on to the quarterfinals.

As for Italy, they would be eliminated in the first round for the third time in a world cup but at least they managed to qualify; after not having done so in 58 for what would be the first and last time. Italy in this world cup would also play a most memorable game against Chile which was so violent and full of dirty fouls that it will forever be remembered as the “battle of Santiago”. It being in this match that Italy not only lost by 2-0 but had two men sent off while Chile’s Toro knocked out an Italian player with a left hook and was allowed to stay on the field. Chile 62 however had other moments of interest such as:

1. Colombia 4 USSR 4 (First Round)

This match apart from being one of the greatest ever played was also and still is the highest amount of goals two teams have drawn level at. It was also in this game that Col for Colombia scored the first and so far the only Olympic goal ever scored in a world cup. An Olympic goal being one where the ball goes straight in from the corner spot without being touched by another player.

2. Czechoslovakia 3 Yugoslavia 1 (Semifinal)

This match broke a record for the lowest attendance for a world cup semifinal. As the number of fans in attendance was about 8,000.

3. Brazil 4 Chile 2

This was the first time two South American teams faced each other in a world cup semifinal.

4. Brazil 3 Czechoslovakia 1 (Final)

Brazil’s Vava became the first player ever to score goals in two different finals.

The world cup Chile 62 saw many a great performance yet perhaps the most outstanding was by Garrincha who was able to win the world cup for Brazil. This naturally being with the help of Amarildo who through out most of the tournament played for the injured Pele. As a footnote to this cup, Chile beat Yugoslavia for third place yet has not won a world cup match ever since. This despite having played in four world cups since.

A Brief History Of “England 66″

The world cup “England 1966″ was the first one played in an English speaking country along with being the one which to many will be remembered for a very controversial victory by the home team; for many reasons that go beyond their third goal in the final. For Italy the world cup in 66 will probably be remembered as the lowest point in their football history yet it did help to wake them from the complacency they had lapsed in to, as it was thanks to a loose to North Korea that they realized that any team could beat any other team. This being more so the case if they ran while their opponents walked on the field as if there mere presence were enough to score goals. England 66 however will also be remembered as a world cup of very defensive play and few flashes of brilliance yet it did have its moments.

1. North Korea 1 Italia 0 (First Round)

This matched served to qualify North Korea in to the quarterfinals which made it the first Asian team ever to get so far in a world cup. This victory by North Korea was also the first ever by an Asian team in a world cup.

2. Portugal 5 North Korea 3 (Quarterfinals)

In this match North Korea’s Pak Seung-Zin scored what was then the fastest goal in world cup history. This game will also be remembered as one of the greatest of all time as Portugal fell behind 3-0 yet thanks to Eusebio, who scored 4 goals; managed to come back and qualify to the semifinal.

3. England 1 Argentina 0  (Quarterfinals)

This game will mostly be remembered for the expulsion of Argentina’s captain, Rattin by a German referee (Kreitlein) who claimed he did not like the way he was being looked at. This prompting Argentineans to label this game as “el robo del ciglo” (the theft of the century) due to not only the expulsion of their captain but the fact that a German referee had been chosen for England’s game against them while an English referee had been chosen for Germany’s game against Uruguay. All of which making it appear as if these two countries had made a pact to help the other. FIFA even created a rule to prevent such things happening in the future along with another one that no referee from a country that had something to gain or loose by an encounter between two nations could be chosen for that particular match.

4. Germany 4 Uruguay 0 (Quarterfinals)

This match was referred by Jim Finney from England who many suspected helped Germany because Kreitlein of Germany had helped England in their game against Argentina. It being Kreitlein’s expulsions of Uruguay’s Troche and Silva along with his having missed a hand ball in the penalty box by Germany’s Schnellinger which gave more weight to the arguments that there might have been an arrangement between England and Germany to help each other in their respective games.

5. England 2 Portugal 1 (Semifinal)

This game was controversial even before it started as it was originally scheduled to be played in Liverpool yet was changed to Wembley stadium due to interference on the part of English officials.

6. England 4 West Germany 2 (Final)

England became champion for the first time and are still the only champion to have played in only one final. This game will mostly be remembered for England’s third goal and first in the period of overtime which followed the match. As it was believed and has recently been proven by computer graphics that Geoffrey Hurst’s shot at the 111 minute mark of the game did not actually go over the goal line. England however did score a forth goal in this game which made the score 4-2 yet some claim this goal also should not have been allowed. As some fans had even made their way on to the field (believing the game was over) while England’s Hurst was still running down the field; on his way to putting the ball in the German net. In fact, it was the English announcer who even claimed the game to have ended before the ball actually went in the German goal. Another factor to be remembered in this final was Hurst, who became the first and so far only player in world cup history to score three goals in a final.

England however won this world cup even if it was with some controversial moments which to date has been not only their only championship in world football but their only appearance in a major final. This being the case since they have yet to play in the final of a European Cup. England 66 unfortunately also went down in history as a world cup with very little in the way of great play given that creativity was replaced by nasty defending. For Italy, however it marked a turning point in their football. As it led them to see that changes would be required on their part if they were ever to return to their glorious past.

As a footnote, it was Portugal who in this tournament won 5 games which gave them 10 points and placed them among the top 10 teams in the overall standings of the world cup. This despite having only played in one world cup.

A Brief History Of “Mexico 70″

The world cup Mexico 70 is one which is mostly remembered for great football, strong teams and memorable games which in the opinion of some make this the greatest world cup ever played despite the goal scoring average not being among the highest. I however ask if it is fair to compare this world cup to those of the past which were not even televised? This perhaps being a question of debate yet Mexico 70 did enjoy being the first world cup which was not only transmitted world wide but with the benefit of instant replays.

Mexico 70 was also a world cup which brought about important changes to the game. The first of which being yellow and red cards given to players who committed infractions with the yellow card being used as a caution while the red card meant expulsion from the game to the player to whom it was presented. Another change in this world cup was that for the first time teams were allowed to substitute players during the game. It being two the number of players which teams were permitted to replace (unlike today’s three) with those on a list which they presented before the game of players eligible to enter the game. This system creating a situation where only players on this list could enter the game yet with time it changed to what it is today; where any player on the team who has not been suspended may enter the field of play in somebody’s place. For my part however I find it strange that FIFA would have waited so many years to install a system that allowed players to be substituted. It in fact putting an end to those days in which teams were sometimes forced to play short handed when a player had been injured; who either left the field or simple remained on it in spite of doing literally nothing other than standing in place.

To these changes however there was another one which was also of consequence and this one being that the system of goal difference would be used to separate two teams who finished equal on points; as opposed to before where teams were required to play an additional match.

For Italy this world cup was perhaps the most significant they ever played as it was the one to return it to its prewar glory of the thirties. It being the first time since 1938 that Italy not only went past the first round in a world cup but as far as the final and though theirs would be to loose to Brazil; the efforts of this team brought back much pride in Italian football which had taken battering after their 1-0 loose to North Korea in the previous world cup. Italy looking back had a great team which so far has been the only one in its history to ever win the European Championship yet it was their performance in Mexico 70 which put our football back among the world’s best. Italy lost to Brazil by 4-1 yet did have their chances in a game that was not as lopsided as the score would suggest and many (myself included) are of the idea that it was fatigue from their previous overtime encounter with Germany that took too much out of them to be able to win against a very strong Brazilian team. This a team which is believed by many to have been the greatest in Brazil’s history.

The world cup Mexico 70 which was also the first one to be held in neither Europe or South America without a doubt had many fine memories and outstanding moments some of which are included in this list.

1. Mexico 0 USSR 0 (opening game)

This is the game where the first ever substitution of a player took place. It being when Anatoliy Puzach came in for  Viktor Serebryanikov after 45 minutes of play.

2. Italy 4 Germany 3 (Semifinal)

This was a legendary match which included almost everything a game can, from a last minute equalizer by Schnellinger for Germany at the end of regulation time to five overtime goals.

3. Brazil 4 Italy 1 (Final)

It was this game which proclaimed Brazil champion for the third time, it being this factor which meant they got to keep the Jules Rimet trophy as their own property yet as a footnote; it would get stolen in 83 and has yet to be recovered. Brazil’s Pele became the first and so far only player to be on three teams to win the world cup as he was also a member of their squad which won the world cups in both 58 and 62 yet despite this factor he would not be the first player ever to play in three finals. This being the case since he did not play for Brazil in the 62 final.

Italy made it to the world cup final in Mexico 70 which surprised many at home yet despite this they were not so warmly welcomed back home when they failed to beat Brazil in the final. As an added fact to this Italian squad, it was their substitute goalkeeper, Dino Zoff who would go on to captain their world cup winning team in Spain 82.

A Brief History Of “Germany 74″

The world cup played in Germany in 1974 was the first one in which teams competed for the FIFA cup instead of the Jules Rimet cup. This cup having been won by Brazil for keeps in Mexico 1970 when they beat Italy in the final by 4-1. The world cup 74 in Germany was also the first in which teams getting to the final would be required to play seven games as opposed to the six they had played in the previous world cups. All due to a system in which the 8 teams that qualified in to the quarterfinals would be put in to two groups of four where the teams to come in first from each group would go in to the finals while the teams to come in second from each group would play for third place. All of which making it necessary for 38 games to be played instead 32 as had been the case in the previous world cup.

Germany 74 was the last time Italy did not get past the first round in a world cup. As theirs was a team which was aging however other teams and events; such as the following made this tournament memorable. As for myself personally though I did not see any of the games of this world cup live I did see repeats of the games on television in the months leading up to Argentina 78.

1. Brazil 0 Yugoslavia 0 (Opening Game)

This was the first time in the history of the world cups in which the defending champion (Brazil) played the opening game. This breaking the tradition that it was the host nation which was given the honor.

2. West Germany 1 Chile 0 (First Round)

In this game Chile’s forward Carlos Cazeli became the first ever player in world cup history to be sent off the field with a red card.

3. Yugoslavia 1 Scotland 1 (First Round)

As a result of this game, Scotland became the first ever team to be eliminated in the first round of a world cup without actually loosing a game and having only conceded one goal.

4. East Germany 1 West Germany 0 (First Round)

This was the first and so far the last match to be played by a divided nation which could repeat itself if North Korea were to face South Korea in the upcoming South Africa 2010.

5. West Germany 2 The Netherlands 1 (Final)

In this game Holland’s Neeskins at 2 minutes in to the match scored the fastest goal in a world cup final. This goal coming on a penalty which was also the first given in a final. Another unique feature about the only Dutch goal of this final was that it was they who kicked off and no German player actually touched the ball till they were already trailing by 1-0. The First German goal also came on a penalty which made this the first final not only to have one penalty but two of them. The second German goal was scored by Muller, it being his 14th world cup goal which also made him the highest scorer in world cup history; surpassing the French player Fontaine. This final was also original in being the first ever in which no goals were scored in the second half.

Germany won the world cup which they organized in 74 with a great team which showed all the qualities of their football yet other teams such as the Netherlands and Poland would also leave a very good mark on this tournament. As for me personally though I did not see Germany 74 live, it would be sad to find out later that Italy had not qualified in to the quarterfinals yet better days would come in Argentina 78 for the “azurri”.

A Brief History Of “Argentina 78″

An article about all the strange and first time things which occurred in the world cup Argentina 78.

I have been a fan of football ever since the first world cup which I saw back in 78 when the tournament took place in Argentina which till now has been the last time it was held in South America. It being even back then that I had a mind for trivia and noting strange things or those which happened for the first time that to my way of seeing things made those games memorable such as the following facts.

1. Italy 2 France 1(First Round)

This was a game in which Lacombe for France scored the fastest goal in world cup history; just 35 seconds in to the match.

2. Argentina 2 Hungary 1 (First Round)

This was a game in which Hungary had two of its players shown the red card. This being the first time that more than one player was thrown out of a match.

3. Argentina 2 France 1 (First Round)

This was the first time a team ever substituted their goalkeeper. This happening when France was forced to replace their goalkeeper, Le Mande (for Baretelli) due to an injury he sustained after hitting his back on the goal post when going for a shot by Valencia.

4. Italy 3 Hungary 1 (First Round)

This was a game in which Italian forward Bettega, hit the post three times. This perhaps being a record.

5. France 3 Hungary 1 (First Round)

This was a game in which both the French and Hungarian team came on the field wearing the same color jersey which created a strange situation in which the match had to be delayed until one team got another uniform. This being not so easy as neither had one yet a solution was found as France played the game in the clothes of a local team.

6. Tunisia 3 Mexico 1 (First Round)

This was the first time an African team ever won a match in a world cup.

7. Brazil 1 Sweden 1 (First Round)

This was a game in which Brazil had a goal disallowed in the last minute of the match. This due to the referee claiming the game had finished while the ball was in the air; after it had been headed by Zico (for Brazil) and before it had crossed the Swedish goal line.

8. Peru 3 Scotland 1 (First Round)

This is a game remembered mostly for Scotland having one of its players (Johnston) suspended for using illegal substances. It being the first time a player had ever been suspended for using a banned substance.

9. The Netherlands 3 Scotland 2 (First Round)

This is the game in which Resenbrink scored the 1,000th goal in world cup history.

10. The Netherlands 5 Austria 1 (quarterfinals)

This is a game which to me seemed strange because Austria was being coached by a Dutchman while the Netherlands was being coached by an Austrian.

11. Brazil 3 Poland 1 (Quarterfinals)

This was a game noted for Brazil’s third goal scored by Roberto in which the ball hit the post three times on the same play before going in the net.

12. The Netherlands 2 Italy 1 (Quarterfinals)

This was a game in which the Dutch player Brandts, scored two goals. First one as an own goal for Italy and then a spectacular shot to make up for his mistake.

13. Argentina 6 Peru 0 (Quarterfinals)

This was a game which till this day many suspect bribery of the Peruvian team took place; as Argentina needed to win by four goals to go on to the final instead of Brazil.

14. Brazil 2 Italy 1 (For Third Place)

This was the game which decided third place yet Brazil became the first team ever to take this position without having lost one single match during the whole tournament.

15. Argentina 3 The Netherlands 1 (Finals)

This was the first time in which a substitute player scored a goal in a final which came when Nanninga did so for Holland to tie up the game at one a piece. Another outstanding factor of this final was that Resenbrink hit the post in the last minute of the game which probably would have given Holland the title; as the match would have ended 2-1 in their favor. A fact which makes perhaps The Netherlands the team to come the closest to wining a world cup without actually doing it.  This game was also noticeable for the delay at the start when Argentina protested over an arm protection over the arm of Holland’s Rene Van Der Kerkhof which the FIFA had already approved of. The Netherlands after the game became the first second place team to refuse to participate in the medal ceremony as well as the first one to loose two finals in a row.

In conclusion I will say that sometimes it is these perhaps little stories and facts which add to great games or perhaps just make matches of less quality more memorable.

A Brief History Of “Spain 82″

The world cup Spain 82 was the second one I ever saw played live and what in my opinion was one of the greatest of all times. This being the case since it not only was the first to include 24 teams but great matches like Italy Vs Brazil, France Vs Germany, Poland Vs. France and many others in a tournament which would set the record for most goals ever scored in a world cup; breaking the record set in Switzerland 54 by two goals. The world cup in Spain was also unique in being the first and so far the only one in which 12 teams qualified to the second round. This requiring a system where these 12 teams were put in to four groups of three with the teams to come in first place in each group going on to the semifinal. In all this however Spain 82 also had two factors which were rare and one of them being that no team left the world cup without at least scoring one goal and that three teams; Italy, England and Cameroon left the tournament undefeated. As for me, personally it would be the first time I would ever see my beloved Italy win a world cup though not the last yet other moments such as the ones listed below stick out in my memory.

1. Belgium Vs Argentina (1-0) was the first time the defending champions lost in the opening match of a world cup.

2. Hungary Vs El Salvador (10-1) was the first time a team scored goals in double digits and that a player coming in off the bench (Kiss) got a hat trick.

3. Italy Vs Cameroon (1-1) was the game which qualified Italy in to the second round yet they became the first team to accomplish the feat without having won a single game.

4. Algeria Vs Germany (2-1) was the first time an African team beat a European team in a world cup match.

5. Germany Vs Austria (1-0) was a game which many suspected was fixed by both teams so they might get a result which was mutually beneficial and allow them to qualify. It being apparent in the second half that both teams were playing just to keep the score. As whenever one team took possession of the ball they would blatantly pass it between themselves without making any attempt at moving forward while the other team made no effort to take the ball away from them. This match prompting FIFA to their decision that the last two games of a group had to be play simultaneously so neither team could know which result was the most convenient.

6. France Vs Kuwait (4-1) is a game remembered for a French goal being protested by a sheik from Kuwait who came on to the field of play (despite not having any official position on the team from Kuwait) and convincing the referee to disallow a goal which had been given to France. This being a goal which was taken away from Girese.

7. England Vs France (3-1)was the game in which Robson scored the fastest goal in the history of the world cup; just 23 seconds after the start. This goal even being faster than France’s goal against Italy in the previous world cup.

8. Spain Vs Yugoslavia (2-1) was a game in which Spain tied the game at one a piece with a penalty given for a foul easily committed at least one clear meter outside the penalty box. It also being a penalty which Spain originally missed but the referee had taken again given he felt the goalkeeper moved from his line before the ball was struck. For my part I felt that they should have simply saved themselves the trouble of the charade and just given Spain the goal which is basically what they did anyway.

9. Germany Vs France (3-3) was a semifinal match which was the first time in world cup history where penalties were used to decide the outcome. It being Germany who beat out France to reach the final.

10. Italy Vs Germany (3-1) was the first time a South American (from Brazil) referee was used for a final. Also the first time a penalty was missed (Cabrini for Italy not doing the honors) in a final and that the first half finished without any goals being scored. Another first was that at no point in the match was one of the teams winning by 2-1. This being the case since Germany scored the last goal of the game which also made it the first time the loosing team scored the last goal of the match. This goal being scored by Breitner; who became the first European player to score two goals in two different finals. In this match Italy’s Graziani also became the fastest player ever to be substituted during a final; when he injured himself just seven minutes in to the game.

In conclusion I will say that sometimes it is these perhaps little stories and facts which add to great games or perhaps just make matches of less quality more memorable.

A Brief History Of The FIFA World Cups (Part Three)

A Brief History Of “Mexico 86″

Mexico 86 was unique as it was the first time that a country had organized the world cup for the second time and still is in the fact that only 16 years had gone by since the first world cup held in Mexico. The world cup in Mexico was also the first to use the system in which 16 out of the 24 teams from the first round went on to the second round which was one short of the quarterfinals.  It being in the second round that teams went in to direct elimination where the winners progressed to the quarterfinals.

As for myself personally, it was slightly disappointing to see Italy loose in the second round yet I could see this was a rebuilding year but if for one thing this world cup will be remembered for; it is how Maradona went from being thought of as the best player of his time to being considered arguably the greatest player of all time. The Mexico 86 World Cup being for Maradona what the battle of the Austerlitz was to Napoleon or the Battle of Cannae was to Hannibal; as it was these events that put these men in a position where they were hailed as being practically invincible.

Mexico 86 naturally like other world cups had features which made it different from all the rest and these are some of the moments which at least in my mind stand out from this world cup which in many ways was almost completely dominated by Maradona.

1. Soviet Union Vs Hungary (6-0) was a game in which the Soviet team set a record by taking the fastest two goal lead in the history of the world cups. This being the case since after the first four minutes of the game they were leading 2-0; thanks to goals, first by Yakovenko and then by Aleinikov.

2. Brazil Vs Spain (1-0) was a game in which Spain scored a goal when Michel’s shot hit off the crossbar and then crossed the goal line yet despite the ball clearly going in the referee failed to see it and the goal was not given. This more due to the speed of the ball which in fact required a television replay to verify that in fact Spain had been cheated out of a goal.

3. Argentina Vs England (2-1) is a game remembered mostly for the two goals scored by Maradona. The first one being with his hand though this very few saw at the time apart from the English players themselves. I even many years later hearing the English comments of the time concerning the match on youtube; the commentators thinking that the English protests were about a possible offside by Maradona. Maradona however would go on to score a second goal which so much has already been said about that I hardly believe that I can add to it other than declaring it was perhaps the greatest goal ever scored in a world cup.

4. France Vs Brazil (5-4, on penalties) was a game in which Zico missed a penalty for Brazil only a few minutes after coming on as a substitute yet managed to score in the penalty shoot out which followed the game. It was also in the penalty shoot out that Bellone scored the strangest of goals for France, by striking the ball which hit the post and bounced off it on to the back of Brazil’s goalkeeper and then in for a goal.

5. Germany Vs France (2-0) was the first time two teams not only met each other in a semifinal for the second time but in back to back world cups.

6. Argentina Vs Germany (3-2) was the final which proclaimed Argentina champion for the second time yet it also meant that Germany became the first team to loose three world cup finals.

Argentina would go on to win this world cup with Maradona turning in a performance of true brilliance yet others should be mentioned, such as Lineker who scored six goals in five games with none of them being from the penalty spot. Mexico 86 was also the first world cup where penalties became an important factor in games to be considered by both coaches and players as something which they also need to prepare for. This being the case since three out of the four quarterfinal matches were decided through penalties.

In conclusion one could say that the world cup Mexico 86 will be mostly remembered for Maradona and his greatness as well as the wave which contrary to popular opinion is in fact American and not Mexican; after all wouldn’t it be more likely that those who watch a sport as boring as baseball would come up with something like this.

A Brief History Of “Italia 90″

The world cup of Italia 90 is the one which will perhaps be mostly remembered for very defensive play that produced the lowest goal scoring average per game of any previous tournament. This being to the extent that much would be changed for the next world cup as to not have a repeat of such defensive minded football. As for me personally, I suffered one of the biggest tragedies in my life on the day on which Italy lost to Argentina on penalties in what for to me was truly an agonizing defeat. Maradona would return to this world cup and though he would be as brilliant as he had been that season in which he led Napoli to their second Scudetto; he would also be limited not only by a team not as capable as the one he had in 86 but by all too defensive play. It being aimed at stopping not only him but offensive play yet like all other world cup this one also had it’s moments of interest which are the following.

1. Cameroon 1 Argentina 0 (First Round)

This was the first game in which an African team beat one from South America. It being Oman-Biyik of Cameroon who probably jumped as high as a meter or more off the ground to get to the header he put past Argentine goalkeeper Pumpido to give Cameroon not only the lead but a victory.

2. Ireland 1 The Netherlands 1 (First Round)

This was the first and so far the last time that two teams finished group play tied for second place with the same amount of points, goal difference, amount of goals and even in head to head games. This requiring FIFA to settle the issue with a coin toss which left Ireland second and the Netherlands third which in all reality did not matter so much as both progressed to the second round.

3. Uruguay 1 South Korea 0 (First Round)

This was a game in which Uruguay scored a very late goal which many would argue was in fact after time had run out and the referee should not have allowed.

4. Cameroon 2 Colombia 1 (Second Round)

This was the game which allowed Cameroon to qualify in to the quarterfinals which made them the first African team ever to get to this stage of the tournament.

5. Germany 2 The Netherlands 1 (Second Round)

This was a second round encounter which will be mostly be remembered for Frank Rikjard (Holland) spitting on Rudy Voeller three times. All of which were clearly seen on television even one after both had already been expelled from the match.

6. Italy 1 Ireland 0 (Quarterfinals)

A quarterfinal match in which Italy’s goalkeeper, Walter Zenga set a record for most consecutive games without allowing a goal. His record of five straight games still holding till this day.

7. Argentina 1 Italy 1 5-4 on penalties (Semifinal)

This was the semifinal encounter which was the saddest I ever saw yet it set a record. As Italy and Argentina became the first teams to meet each other in five consecutive world cups. Argentina at five also setting another record for the fewest goals scored by a team to reach the final. This game would also be remembered for Caniggia getting his second yellow card of the tournament which did not let him play in the final for Argentina yet thanks to this incident and that of Paul Gascoigne in the other semifinal; a rule was passed that cancelled all yellow cards received in the first round.

8. Germany 1 England 1 4-3 on penalties (Semifinal)

This is a semifinal which will be mostly remembered for Gascoigne’s tears after getting a yellow card which was rare as most only displayed such emotions after a match yet there were other factors in this game. England and Germany became the first two teams to face each other in four different phases of the world cup. It being in Italia 90 that they met in the semifinal, in Spain 82 that they met in the second round, in Mexico 70 that they met in the quarterfinals and in England 66 that they met in finals. This game also setting a record in being the fourth time these two teams finished tied at the end of the regular 90 minutes.

9. Germany 1 Argentina 0 (World Cup Final)

In this match Germany and Argentina became the first two teams to play each other in the final and so far only ones to do so in back to back finals. This game was also the first one in which the wining team only got one goal and the loosing team did not get at least one. Argentina also became the first team not only to have one player sent of the field but two, as Monzon and Dezzoti both received red cards. This while Maradona became the first player ever to receive two yellow cards in two different finals. Germany in this final not only became the first European team to beat a South American one but the first one to reach three consecutives finals. In this game it was also German player, Litbarski who became the first ever to play in three finals.

The World Cup Italia 90 was perhaps one of the most defensive minded ever yet it did have moments of greatness such as Maradona’s run and pass against Brazil or Schillaci’s six goals which made him top goal scorer. For my part this world cup was far from being one of joy as Italy not only did not win on home soil but did not even manage to make it to the final yet better times would come. Naturally in all this that was the world cup Italia 90, the wonderful concert given by Domingo, Carreras and Pavarotti; who later became “The Three Tenors” should never be forgotten.

A Brief History Of “USA 94″

USA 94 set a record for the highest attendance at a World Cup tournament which till this day stands despite three more tournaments being held with 64 matches as opposed to USA 94 which only held 52. This fact being more outstanding considering the fact that FIFA was fearful of holding a world cup in the USA, believing a tournament held in the States would not attract large crowds which in fact led to Mexico being made host nation over the USA in 1986. The USA was also the first none Spanish speaking nation to host the tournament since Germany back in 1974 yet this world cup held in the United States also included the following changes in the rules which were implanted for the first time.

1-     A player was only on off sides if he was in front of the defender, on the same line no longer meant he was on off sides, which would hopefully increase scoring.

2-     Almost any series foul earned the offending player a card regardless of weather or not there had been intensions to commit injure.

3-     Any intentional handball received a card.

4-     Deliberate back passes to the goalkeeper were no longer allowed and were punished by an indirect free kick, on the spot where the goal keeper had touched the ball.

5-     Any last player committing a foul to stop a player got an automatic red card.

6-     Yellow cards from the first round, were no longer counted in later stages of the tournament.

7-     Players had to wear their names on their shirts, along with their numbers. This even causing a comic situation with the players of Cameroon; who were forced to add their names on their shirts in magic marker.

8-     Three points were given for a victory; as opposed to what till then had only been two, however I for my part failed to see (and still do) how this makes such a big difference when teams are only playing three games.

USA 94 holds great personal memories for me, not only because Italy got to the final which unfortunately they did not win but because I got to attend three out of Italy’s seven matches at Giant’s Stadium. It being in the semifinal where I saw one of the greatest live performances ever turned in by Roberto Baggio; who scored two goals.  USA 94 however would have many outstanding moments such as the ones mentioned below.

Germany 1 Bolivia 0 (Opening Game)

In this match Germany became the first ever defending champion to win the opening game.

USA 1 Switzerland 1 (First Round)

This match played in Detroit’s “Pontiac Silver Dome” was the first World Cup game ever to be played indoors.

USA 2 Colombia 1 (First Round)

Is a game which is remembered for the tragic death of Andres Escobar, who upon returning to his own country was killed for the own goal he scored against Colombia.

Romania 1 USA 0 (First Round)

This game meant the USA came in third in their group which made them the first host nation to ever finish lower than second in the opening round of qualification which in fact would have meant not moving on the second round had it not been for the fact that 16 out 24 teams qualified. It being a case that the USA had it not been for this system would have been the first host nation not to go beyond the first round.

1. Brazil 2 Russia 0 (First Round)

This was the first world cup game in which a nation who had been playing under one name was playing under another. This being the case since before this tournament Russia had played as the Soviet Union.

2. Russia 6 Cameroon 1 (First Round)

In this game two records were set. First of which being set by Russia’s Salenko, who became the first player ever to score five goals in a single world cup match. Second of which being set by Cameroon’s Roger Milla, who at 42 became the oldest player ever to score a goal in world cup competition.

3. Brazil 1 Sweden 1 (First Round)

This match was the sixth encounter between Brazil and Sweden in the history of the world cup which in and of itself set a record.

4. Italy 1 Norway 0 (First Round)

In this game, Italy’s Pagliuca became the first ever goalkeeper to be shown the red card in a world cup match.

5. Bolivia 0 South Korea 0 (First Round)

Was a match in which for some very strange reason the first half was made 10 minutes longer while the second half was made 15 minutes longer.

6. Germany 3 Belgium 2 (Second Round)

Was a game in which a clear penalty was not given for Belgium. As even the referee would later admit, after seeing the replay on TV that he made a mistake when he failed to call it in Belgium’s favor.

7. Brazil 3 The Netherlands 2 (Quarterfinals)

Is a game remembered mostly for not so much Bebeto’s goal which was Brazil’s second but the way in which he celebrated which was by waving his arms as if rocking a baby. This in honor of his son who had been born that very day and setting a trend that would be followed by all those who scored a goal on the same day a child of theirs was born.

Italy 2 Spain 1 (Quarterfinals)

Is a game in which video was used for the first time to suspend a player for an incident during the match. It being Tassoti who after the game was suspended for 8 matches for elbowing Spanish forward Luis Enrique.

Brazil 1 Sweden 0 (Semifinal)

Sweden became the first team to ever face another team seven times without ever having beaten them.

Brazil 0 Italy 0 (3-2 on penalties) Final

This was the first final to end goalless and the first one to be decided on penalties. Brazil also became the first team ever to win four world cups.

The USA 94 was a much greater tournament than most would have ever expected it from a commercial point of view yet to me it will always be the one in which Italy came ever so close to wining; only to loose in the final. As a footnote Italy qualified from a first round group in which all four teams (Mexico, Norway, Ireland and Italy) finished tied with four points as they all had one win, one loss and one draw as well as the same goal difference. This being another first in world cup history.

A Brief History Of “France 98″

France 98 was the last world cup played in the 20th century yet it was also the first one which 32 teams participated in as well as the first one to use the system of sudden death overtime or the “golden goal”. France 98 for me personally was the world cup in which Italy came so close to the final yet in a way was so far. As I believe that if Italy had beaten France in penalties or if Roberto Baggio’s overtime shot had gone in; then it would have been Italy to face Croatia. Naturally, I being of a mind that Italy would have beaten Croatia which would have set up not only a repeat of the previous final between Italy and Brazil but what would have been the third final between these two power houses of world football yet it was not to be. Croatia however for its part became the first nation ever to play a world cup which at one point had played as a part of another country yet more are the memories of France 98 which include the following.

1. Morocco 3 Scotland 0 (First Round)

This loss meant that Scotland would be going out in the first round which allowed them to set a record for being eliminated eight times in the first round of a world cup. This breaking the previous record of seven set by Mexico yet Scotland has yet to qualify past the first round in any world cup.

2. Italy 2 Austria 1 (First Round)

In this match Austria scored a last minute goal and in doing so became the first team to do so in three consecutive games.

3. France 1 Paraguay 0 (Round Of 16)

In this world cup game when Lauren Blanc scored for France, he became the first player ever to score a goal in sudden death overtime.

4. Croatia 3 Germany 0 (Quarterfinals)

In this match German midfielder Lothar Matthaus became the first player ever to play in 22 world cup matches and it was also in this world cup that he equaled Carbajal’s record of having appeared in five world cups.

5. France 3 Brazil 0 (Final)

France became only the seventh nation to win a world cup, thus joining Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, England, Germany and Italy as the only ones to accomplish the feat.

France 98 was a world cup which once again saw Italy loose out on penalties yet in a way it is a sort of comfort to know that we were the only team the eventual world champions needed penalties to beat. In conclusion however I believe this world cup though not grand by Italy’s standards did at least allow Roberto Baggio to prove his value; as it was he who not only scored goals against Chile and Austria but left the world cups with better memories than a missed penalty against Brazil. Baggio even converting his spot kick against France despite the fact that it would be them and not us to go on to the semifinal.

A Brief History Of “Japan/Korea 2002″

The world cup organized in Japan and South Korea in 2002 was not only the first one of the new century but also was the first to be organized on the Asian continent as well as the first one to take place in two separate nations. I, for my part however consider this world cup to have been arranged by FIFA so they might not only get to see Brazil and Germany play each other but so they might do so in a final. This being the case since these two greats of world football had never actually met in a World Cup despite their tremendous records which included four championships for Brazil and three for Germany, two second place finishes for Brazil and three for Germany, two third place finishes for both and also one fourth place finish for both. This was the encounter many around the world wanted to see, specially since these were the only great teams who had never met each other in a world cup. It is this which in my opinion motivated FIFA to do everything within their powers to try to eliminate all teams which might disturb this plan which included referees making errant decisions which unfairly helped both Germany and Brazil. There also being a campaign to aide Korea get to at least the semifinal in order to keep up interest amongst their fans to attend the matches. This in a tournament where attendances were for the most part very low.

Naturally, so Brazil might meet Germany in the final many teams had to be eliminated through careful unfair refereeing such as Italy, Spain and Argentina which was the case as they; thanks to errant calls were out of the world cup before they could play either Germany or Brazil. Japan/South Korea 2002 will be remembered by many as the one with the worst refereeing as it was not just a matter of a call or two being missed but of several which even over shadowed the whole tournament. As for my personal recollections and those of my friends, they are of seeing Italy being cheated out of two goals against both Croatia and Mexico; after which more of the same was repeated against South Korea. Regarding the moments to be remembered however I would say there were few yet these are those which I believe deserve to be mentioned.

1. Brazil 2 Turkey 1 (First Round)

This was a game in which Brazil got the game winner on a penalty called for a foul that was clearly outside the penalty box. It also being a game where Rivaldo faked being hit in the face by a ball kicked in his direction in order to have a Turkish player sent off; this in spite of Brazil already being ahead by 2-1 and with about a minute or two left in the match.

2. Croatia 2 Italy 1 (First Round)

This was a game in which Italy had two goals unfairly annulled. The first one by Vieri because of a nonexistent offside and the second one by Matterazzi because of an alleged foul by Inzagi though in reality it was he who was being illegally held.

3. Mexico 1 Italy 1 (First Round)

In this game again Italy had two goals ruled offside though instant replays of both goals show the opposite.

4. England 1 Argentina 0 (First Round)

In this game the winning goal came on a penalty which was given for a nonexistent foul.

5. Argentina 1 Sweden 1 (First Round)

Argentina did not qualify to the second round yet it was in this game that their player Caniggia was shown a red card while sitting on the bench and not having said as much as a word to the referee.

6. Denmark 2 France 0 (First Round)

This match eliminated France yet they also became the first champion to be eliminated without scoring as much as one goal.

7. USA 2 Mexico 0 (Round Of 16)

In this game Mexico should have been given a penalty when the ball hit an American defender in the penalty box but again like in many other games in this world cup; the referee did not see. This was also the first time two teams from North America met in a world cup.

8. Brazil 2 Belgium 0 (Round Of 16)

In this match Belgium had a perfectly legitimate goal taking away due to a nonexistent foul.

9. South Korea 2 Italy 1 (Round Of 16)

In this game during regulation time South Korea was given a very dubious penalty which they did not convert. Totti for Italy would also be shown a red card for allegedly faking a penalty yet the replay shows that though their had been no foul committed; their had also been no attempt to deceive anybody. In overtime Tomassi for Italy was also called for an offside which clearly did not exist when he had broken free and was all alone in front of the Korean goalkeeper.

10. Germany 1 USA 0 (Quarterfinals)

In this match a German player committed a clear hand ball in the penalty box to keep the ball from going in the net yet the referee from Scotland saw nothing. This despite the hand ball being much more obvious than that of Maradona against England in 86.

11. South Korea 0-5 Spain 0-4 on penalties (Quarterfinals)

South Korea by wining this match became the first Asian nation to qualify in to the semifinals yet Spain had two legitimate goals disallowed during the game. One due to a foul which did not exist and the other due to the line judge claiming a ball had gone it before it was centered though the replay clearly shows the ball had not gone out of play.

12. Germany 1 South Korea 0 (Semifinal)

Because of winning this match Germany became the first team to qualify to seven finals.

13. Brazil 1 Turkey 0 (Semifinal)

After this game Brazil became the first South American team to qualify to three straight finals while also setting a strange record by being the first team to have to play the same team twice in three different world cups. This being the case since in this world cup they had to play Turkey twice as in 62 they had to play Czechoslovakia twice as in 94 they had to play Sweden twice.

14. Turkey 3 South Korea 2 (For Third Place)

In this game Hakan Sukur of Turkey scored a goal 12 seconds in to the match and set the record for the fastest goal ever scored in a world cup match. This was also the first and last time that the host nation lost in a match for third place.

15. Brazil 2 Germany 0 (Final)

This was the first ever match played between Germany and Brazil in a world cup and also with this win Brazil became the first team to win five world cups while Germany became the first team to loose in four finals.

In conclusion the 2002 world cup will probably be remembered for some of the worst refereeing ever seen as well as having very low attendance at the games. This probably due to a combination of many strong teams being eliminated early along with the poor refereeing. I however in my opinion believe that the 2002 tournament should be used as an example of how it is necessary to utilize instant replays in order to get the right call; for when a player on the field makes a mistake it is just that but when a referee does the same then it is an injustice.

A Brief History Of “Germany 2006″

The world cup Germany 2006 was a great one for all fans of Italian football as it saw us claim our forth world cup to put us just one behind Brazil and second on the list of winners of the trophy. Germany 2006 was also the first world cup in which the previous winners (Brazil) were forced to play qualifying matches in order to enter the tournament; as it was not enough that they were defending champions. Germany, for its part was also organizing the event for the second time in their history yet on that occasion it was to be as a united nation; as opposed to being one divided in to east and west. Naturally as an Italian American and supporter of the “azurri” I could not have been more delighted at an Italian win yet other moments of interest were to be found in this tournament which were as follows.

1. Germany 4 Costa Rica 2 (Opening Game)

It was in this tournament that the host nation went back to playing in the opening match. This being something which had not been done since Mexico did it in 1970. This opening match also had more goals than any other opening match in world cup history. As for an interesting factor concerning the German team. They fielded three Polish born players (Podolski, Borowski and Klose) in this tournament.

2. Ukraine 0-3 Switzerland 0-0 In Penalties (Round Of 16)

This game qualified Ukraine to the quarterfinals which made them the first ex republic of the Soviet Union to ever get to this stage of the tournament.

3. Brazil 3 Ghana 0 (Round Of 16)

In this game Brazil’s Ronaldo scored a goal at the five minute mark which made him the highest goal scorer in world cup history as it put his grand total at 15; surpassing Gerd Muller’s 14.

4. Italy 1-5 France 1-3 (Final)

With this win Italy became the first European nation to win four world cups.

Germany 2006 was a great world cup for Italy as it lifted the prestige of its football which had lost some of its glory in 2002 yet it was against, first Germany and then France that Italy proved they could win when it counted and even in penalties. Italy has qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and though perhaps two titles back to back would be overly optimistic; it is still in my hopes that it might be yet if it is not than at least let our participation be one of dignity.

As a footnote, I can add two things about Italy winning the world cup. Number one being that they are the first team to become champions with a top goal scorer who only scored two goals. Number two being that Italy continued a pattern which started back in 70 which was to loose in the final then come back 12 years later to win the final (in Spain 82) to come back 12 years later to once again loose in the final (in USA 94) to come back 12 years later to win it (in Germany 2006) again. This meaning Italy should be back in the final in 2018 yet they will have to wait till 2030 to win it for the fifth time.

The Asteroid that Flattened Mars

Monday, September 19th, 2011

In 1080p. Did Mars long ago develop far enough for life to arise? If so, does anything still live within Mars’ dusty plains, beneath its ice caps, or somewhere underground? In 1964 the Mariner Four spacecraft flew by Mars and got a good look. What it saw looked more like the Moon than the Earth. Then, in the mid-1970′s, two lander-orbiter robot teams, named Viking, went in for an even closer look. The landers tested the soil for the chemical residues of life. All the evidence from Viking told us: Mars is dead. And extremely harsh. The mission recorded Martian surface temperatures from -17 degrees Celsius down to -107. We now know it can get even colder than that at the poles. The atmosphere is 95% carbon dioxide, with only traces of oxygen. And it’s extremely thin, with less than one percent the surface pressure of Earth’s atmosphere. And it’s bone dry. In fact, the Sahara Desert is a rainforest compared to Mars, where water vapor is a trace gas in the atmosphere. On Earth, impact craters erode over time from wind and water… and even volcanic activity. On Mars, they can linger for billions of years. Earth’s surface is shaped and reshaped by the horizontal movement of plates that make up its crust driven by heat welling up from the planet’s hot interior. At half the width and only 11% the mass of Earth, Mars doesn’t generate enough heat to support wide-scale plate tectonics. Nor does it have the gravity to hold a thick atmosphere needed to store enough heat at the

Aggrieved world humanity challenges material wealth

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

Amongst all world glories wealth predominates but in reality it does not stand first. The chief spot belongs to generous sentiments. Those who possess it become divine in nature. Great personages, Rishis, men of austerities, those overflowing with a sense of sacrifice and renunciation can be looked upon as divine saints. Like flame lamps they burn themselves only to spread cool light everywhere. In this world all the conscious power seen can be called the grandeur of generous sentiments. The second spot belongs to knowledge and wisdom. It can be called Brahminhood. The 3rd glory is radiant talent. These are in turn called Kshatriyas. Only after this at 4th spot stands wealth.

Today wealth is given the 1st spot and respected everywhere. This is but man’s misfortune. The result of all this is that many by hoarding/amassing more and more material wealth desires to become ‘great and revered’. Truly wealth must only be used for great sacred tasks of world welfare. Water gathering in craters and food collecting in the stomach tends to rot and thus distortions manifest. Those who hoard cash etc in excess in their vaults become insane and spread the stench of disease in entire world society. Hence it is most required that along with earning of lot of wealth it must simultaneously be utilized for world well being tasks.

HOARDING WEALTH IS A DIRE SIN:

In Indian Culture 5 big sins are enumerated:

1.      Violence
2.      Falsehood
3.      Robbery
4.      Immorality
5.      Hoarding of wealth

Hoarding means gathering wealth for usage on sense merriment inflating one’s ego. Today the more one hoards wealth the more one is respected in society. Yet in spiritual terms this is defined differently. Only that effort and hard work must be honored which helps one earn wealth ethically and honestly. We must praise every act of world welfare executed by wealth earned through ethical means. Only on this basis should wealth and the truly wealthy be applauded. Wealth is akin to a type of glory. In it one can experience divine blessings. Hence in India during the festival of lights called Deepawali we worship wealth world well being is misused in sense pleasures and increasing the vain ego of a few selected people is truly looked down upon.

Of course it is required that in order to sustain life and nurture one’s family wealth needs to be earned. One must make efforts for this but along with this we must understand that in order to attain success in human living and also to sanctify and render cultured our inner personality we must analyze whether we have succeeded in doing so. It is also most required that we pay off our debt to society and give donation towards divine tasks. For both these one must make use of ample hard work, time, thinking, zeal, talent and energy. If the aspiration for wealth takes the form of vain desire fulfillment then our thinking and efforts scatter in that direction. As a result high stature spiritual goals remain mere figments of our imagination. As a result those tasks for which human life was gifted to us remain unfulfilled. Truly only that much wealth must be earned which takes care of our basic living needs.

Never earn money via lowly unrighteous endeavors. Those who already have enough wealth to look after their basic needs should not earn and hoard more wealth. Excess hoarding of wealth leads to strife and tension.

Hence earn money only via honest ethical ways. By using minimal wealth for oneself use excess wealth for well being of society. Un-required hoarding leads to strife and chaos.

USE WEALTH WHOLESOMELY FOR NEO CREATION:

A lot of wealth is required for neo creation. Just as sentiments, wisdom and talent are required for every program that involves broadcasting, creativity and hardships so too money is essential. For this we welcome all wealthy, rich people of the world. Rishi Vishwamitra commenced making a new world. He hence required wealth. His chief disciple King Harshchandra not only handed over his kingdom but also fulfilled his Guru’s needs by selling himself, his wife and child. Saint Sudama’s GuruKul (school) reached a stage wherein due to lack of money it had to be shut down. Lord Krishna his friend gauging the situation gave Sudamaji enough wealth. Due to strained finances King Rana Pratap was unable to continue the war of independence. At that time Bhamashah came and donated a lot of his wealth for that cause. Buddha’s Wheel of Righteousness program was all set to spread in the entire world. Yet the main obstruction faced was lack of finances to send his preachers all over the world. Hence Emperor Ashok handed over his entire kingdom for Lord Buddha’s sacred mission. As a result today Buddhist religion has spread out in the entire continent of Asia.

Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya wished to reestablish Vedic culture. For this end King Mandhata gave his army and vault of wealth. Mahatma Gandhi looked upon Jamnalal Bajaj as his son. He gave a huge chunk of his earnings to Gandhiji. Indians residing in Burma had weighed Subhashchandra Bose with gold so that the requirements of Azad Hind Army could be met. In ancient times too this tradition was seen. King Karna, by keeping with him only that much wealth required to sustain life would daily donate excess wealth in gigantic measure. Every year Vajishrava performed the Sarvamedh Yajna and would donate all extra wealth he possessed.

In those times people zestfully earned a lot of wealth, saved it too and time and again donate in huge measure their excess wealth to Brahmins and for world welfare tasks. Today what is most important? This decision can be taken only by farsighted great leaders of the world. Ordinary laymen everywhere perform such useless tasks so as to amass wealth which gives them speedy fame. Thus those tasks that are most required to be enacted remain obstructed.

Keeping this fact in mind by giving wealth to credible ethical people they were also handed   over the responsibility of using the same wholesomely. People gave up all worry by donating wealth to the Brahmin class of society. It is most required that after executing a religious ritual Brahmins are given donation and are fed sumptuously. In that era all this was done truly for world welfare. Fearless Brahmins would spend minimum cash for their food, clothing etc. They personally had hardly any requirements. Every cent given to a Brahmin would be used solely for uplifting world society in an all round manner. Even today the supreme goal of donation and philanthropy should be aimed at sensitive neo creation of the world. Today people think it to be very meritorious in giving a tiny donation for appeasing the mind, vain show for helping someone and yet if human inertia is not warded off momentary solutions will do no good to the world. Hence, while donating wealth a subtle farsighted intellect must be utilized. Those great tasks the world over must be inspired which augment goodwill amongst people everywhere.

HOARDING WEALTH WILL CREATE CRIMINALS IN SOCIETY:

If only a few people’s wealth augments, if disparity widens between the haves and have-nots then envy and hatred will ensue and will lead to robbery, looting, murder etc. those with a lot wealth by getting immersed in inflating the ego and sense pleasures will destroy themselves and will induce envy and criminal activities in others. Hence rich people by using minimal wealth for their own use must donate the rest to world society for its all round well being. In this manner man will benefit dually. If there is more wealth its individual gathering can maybe said to be useful but when people misuse it there is no option but to forcefully snatch it away from them. Truly the rise of communism is nothing but the result of selfish and stingy rich people’s narrow outlook. Due to communism not only will wealth dry up but along with it a very useful philosophy of divine faith too will get destroyed. This responsibility of this taint lies on the shoulders of narrow minded wealthy people rather than communists because as a result of their hoarding miserly nature they light pyres of wrath everywhere. If like in ancient times rich people turn generous mankind will attain great glory. They will get fame and honor as great philanthropists and then will also get a nod to amass wealth individually. If this trend is broken, meaning if wealth is earned solely for oneself there is no option but to forcefully snatch it away from them.

There existed a supreme trend wherein wealth was protected akin to a trust and excess earnings were utilized for world progress. Yet today’s rich class, because of lack of credibility is going against the above trend. Ere had they not destroyed their generous nature then ancient time’s spiritual communism would have been counted as the world’s supreme economic program. Even today if the rich class so wishes it can become generous to a fault. If out of generosity voluntarily donate their wealth to the world it can be of great utility value.

Wealth is like a double edged sword. If it is aptly used the individual will experience well being and world welfare too will set in. on the other hand if it is misused wealth can only get destroyed. Another gigantic cause is that vile people of society are financially well off to augment addictions to drugs/alcohol etc, tainted thinking and lowly activities. Wealth is a strong force and energy. If it lands in the hands of tainted thinking people it will only be misused in vile behavior and destructive activities. Truly while earning wealth and utilizing it wholesomely a lot of caution and alertness of mind is required. It is best that we earn wealth honestly and by the sheer dint of hard work. In this way if one can earn less try and sustain daily living with minimal expenses. The only way to do this is live the life of a true Brahmin and simplicity of living. Everyone should take pride in living a simple life of Indian stature. Taking help of all 4 viz. economical living, simplicity, hard work and honesty one will have faith in financial aspects. Such people of deep faith do not encourage vain pomp and do not foolishly add to the burden of world population by procreating more and more children than necessary. If one’s capability is augmented, hard work with zeal is imbibed and economic spending is followed none will face a financial crunch. They never incur debt, borrow cash from others or carry out undesirable tasks. Even if the income of such people is less yet they try and help others in need as much as they can. If greed and attachment increase man becomes stingy. When hoarding and desire for sense titillation cross their limits people take to earning wealth illegally and unethically. A person contented with wealth earned ethically never becomes a pauper, never takes to vices/addictions and does not carry out vile activities. It is most required that the sacred limits of aptness of wealth are not crossed. With the help of wealth the weaker sections of world human society must be helped and encourage manifold increase in great wholesome endeavors. Donation, charity and philanthropy are a most required righteous duty that must be adhered to by one and all.

CONVINCE RICH PEOPLE IN THIS MANNER:

A message should be broadcasted to the rich class of the world that Almighty God has given them untold wealth for troubleshooting problems faced by world humanity. By tying the hands and legs of Goddess of Wealth-Lakshmi with the chains of greed and deluded attachment she should not be made to hang upside down. This God given wealth and grandeur instead of frittering it away in fleeting sense pleasures, inflating the ego and misusing it in titillation of senses of family members must be used aptly for overcoming the death like and unconscious state of the world’s soul. It is erroneous to hoard wealth due to greed for it and handing it over to a few select family members. As a result of this error great tasks are obstructed. The rich class should deeply understand just as they earn wealth using a sharp farsighted intellect they must use this wholesomely too.

Every wealthy person must understand many bitter realities. In future times non will honor the rich and since they have turned a blind eye to the world’s downfallen state they will be jeered as hard hearted ones, harsh and stingy. Such a social arrangement will be witnessed soon in the near future. In that wealth will belong not to select individuals but will be owned by world society. Every person as per their capacity will have to put in hard work and in return their needs will be looked after. None will get the chance to lazily earn wealth through interests, rent etc and not even their sons and grandsons will be allowed to do so. Slowly all governments in the name of death tax, super tax etc are slowly taking away wealth from people. In future this arrangement will become stricter and keeping as exceptions weak women unable to earn along with children no one will be able to inherit wealth, property etc of their ancestors. In ancient times in the name of post death rites people donated wealth of their ancestors to society. In turn they themselves would work hard and look after their needs. In future such arrangements will again be made use of. Under no circumstances will the new generation be allowed to live on wealth handed over free. Those who get free wealth become drug/alcohol addicts and immerse themselves in sense titillation. Thus they lose credibility and their inherent talent. No elderly person of any family should render youngsters of their homes useless and criminals.

Only if today’s rich class understands the above truths they will start thinking originally wherein it is not necessary to madly rush after earning more and more wealth. Instead make wholesome use of that wealth which has been earned so far. Wherever such rationality will dawn there the noose of avarice and deluded attachment will get cut asunder and like Lord Vaman the important task of world welfare will be executed. If the sacred sentiments of the wealthy awaken God will not go back in despair and empty handed.

WHOLESOME USE OF WEALTH:

For awakening world lay public education is required to train thousands of volunteers. Of course people will be ready to get trained but their family members may not easily agree to give them money for their daily needs like food, clothing etc. As a result the program of training volunteers for world welfare tasks shall get obstructed. If only arrangements can be made for their food in the form of bread and a little pickle then akin to 0.25 million disciples of Lord Buddha even more people will be ready to get trained for era transformation mission and will oppose and stand firm against the tirade of unethical activities.

Today saintly people have taken birth on the basis of selfish desire to attain heavenly liberation which is a form of escapism. They have no intention to work for world welfare mission. Since they eat free food, remain indolently inactive and shrewdly induce lay people to usurp things belonging to others they have destroyed whatever divine light they possessed. If only they had enough life force they would have worked for social well being. Such man power can not only change India but can transform the entire world and yet it is futile to rest our hopes in them. True world welfare volunteers will manifest only from cultured members of Yug Nirman Yojana. A little arrangement will be have to be made for them. Without people with a sense of service world revolution can never succeed. They definitely will need food and clothing. If only we can use money for every such volunteer thousands will participate in this sacred task and with their zeal and enterprise era transformation as a result of world revolution will truly manifest.

In today’s time there is no dire need to construct temples, rest houses, wells, ponds, gardens etc. Those so called philanthropists who yearn that others laud them may indulge in such activities but those with a sacred farsighted intellect must act like Bhamashah of yore. Instead of constructing hundreds of rest houses and temples the same cash must be used for greater tasks. There is greater need of awakening the thinking of people of every family rather than making pilgrimages. There is no need to cook mounds of sweet food and other tasty food in order to feed Brahmins in huge gatherings. Instead by giving food, clothing etc to those who give up their home and endure hardships so as to carry out God’s mission in the world, such acts would be indeed glorious.

Those wealthy people harboring farsightedness must be should be incited to give up their miserly outlook. During Lord Ram’s time for era transformation monkeys, bears despite being empty handed helped in God’s mission. Today instead of combating the 10 headed demon Ravan, 100 Kauravas or 100 handed Sahasrabahu we have to fight that intellect of world humans that has been veiled by vile activities and tainted sentiments. None should sit back merely as a spectator in today’s Mahabharat war. People must come charging forward in hordes with whatever means they possess.

For neo creation of world society a lot of wealth is needed. For programs of preaching based Wisdom Yajnas many big small activities shall have to be designed. There will be a need of means of preaching and volunteers to preach. This literature of preaching will have to be published in all major languages of the world. For Yug Nirman branches small big temple buildings will have to be built. In it one will have to keep many means of preaching. Gymnasiums will have to be built. The very foundations of religion will have to be laid anew. In the field of artistic talent changes and reforms are long overdue. A great program has been etched to transform the very cast of education. By building an army of creativity they have to be sent everywhere to usher in multifaceted world neo creation. We have to oppose vileness and indolence. Arrangements will have to be made to sooth the wounds of those who endure 80 attacks on them like hero Rana Sangama of yore. For all this a lot of cash is required. It will not be contributed by indolent section of our society. It will only be fulfilled by the generous sentiments of awakened people in every nook and corner of the world. If such generous and magnanimous human Gods ooze with wealth too then it is their sacred duty that this God given wealth be returned to society generously and honestly especially under such problematic world situations. Lord Narayan of this era has asked help from his divine consort Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth).

Every member of Yug Nirman Yojana family must prove that they verily are generous. Contributing one dollar daily and one hour of their valuable time was just initial image worship on their part. In the form of spiritual practice such a tiny Sankalpa or resolve had been taken up preliminarily. Every member each month must at least donate 1 day’s salary so that a volunteer after eating a frugal meal can combat demonic nature that has raised its hood everywhere. The question is not of scarcity of funds but is that of stinginess of our character. If only we render our heart a little generous then even a poor person will seen to harbor a great heart.

Volunteers of Yug Nirman Yojana must not gather wealth, jewelry etc but must make plans of world neo creation. This only can add to the grandeur of era transformation soldiers.

Wealth is a gigantic glory. Everywhere wealth rules the roost. All other glories pale in its presence. Everyone accepts that wealth is most required. By dangling the carrot of wealth singers, instrumentalists, painter, actors, poets, authors, editors, religious leaders, politicians etc can be bought and can be made to dance to ones whims and fancies. We can even say that all artistic skills in order to get ‘blessings’ from wealth yearn to even sell their great sacred character. Via wealth talented brilliant people the world over are being bought and they by self surrendering happily are ready to dance to others people’s whimsical tunes. It is very rare to find a talented person who refuses outright to take the bait of the carrot of wealth. A poor sage like woman of the village will have to remain satisfied eating a couple of pieces of dry bread and water along with tattered clothes. But those who are eager to immerse themselves in fleeting sense merriment will have to bid adieu to their pious character. Today art is immersed in vain pleasures. None yearn to live a life of penance. If you wish to attain wealth you will have to act so distortedly that the passionate god of wealth will get pulled towards you.

Art truly is Saraswati or Goddess of Wisdom. She is the primordial mother of world humanity. If a son insists on sending his mother to a brothel so as live in sense merriment from the money earned he will be called shameless and lowly. Today artists have too stooped to such low abysses. They have become servants of the rich class. They too wish to become wealthy. Today’s cinema, songs, instruments, acting, painting, poets, heads of hermitages, political rulers may put on any garb yet within they are heading towards a downfall. If this were not the case art today would have raised the stature of Indian public by miles. In fact by now intellectual, social and ethical revolution would definitely have reaped rich dividends.

THE WEALTHY TOO ARE ARTISTS:

World brilliant talent will have to be weaned away from greed, hoarding and miserliness of wealth. The wealthy too are artists by nature. Where on the one hand 90% people are incapable of fulfilling their daily life’s needs under such situations it takes an extraordinary character to become wealthy. One can understand people desiring to earn more but today since everywhere one finds ignorance, lack and weakness as a result of which people face strife it must be said that those wealthy people who ignore all this and immerse in fleeting sensual joys should be labeled hard hearted. Only a person with no generosity, who is very stingy and selfish, can behave thus. Thus such rich men full of such characteristics can certainly not be called ‘great’ but can certainly be called different.

HONEST ADVICE TO THE WEALTHY CLASS OF THE WORLD:

Talent standing in front of the queue must be barred from entering the path of vileness. Very humbly they must be told that just like other forms of art wealth too is a sacred glory and it must be used only for world welfare. One may earn a lot but must spend only like an ordinary Indian spends for himself and his family. The remaining wealth must be used for all round uplifting of world humans. Time and again by executing the Sarvamedha Yajna one must like ancient wealthy people offer all excess wealth for world well being tasks and by imbibing the ideal of Bhamashah one must reap success in the art of earning wealth ethically.

They must be told that in future a life of vain pomp and sense pleasures will never be appreciated and instead will invite wrath of world lay public. One may have earned this wealth honestly yet if it is not used to wipe the tears of strife torn people it will be called an act of hard heartedness and stinginess only. In future times such hoarders will have to stand in the courtroom of humanity akin to criminals. Our Indian religion looks upon hoarding of wealth as one amongst 5 major sins. Today the inclinations of world sentiments in this direction too are become ireful. Today people look upon the wealthy as more vile than others and are ready to thrust their fingers down the throats of such wealthy who in the name of capitalism and communism have devoured excess wealth of society and thus induce them to ‘vomit’ this wealth.

The wealthy class must understand this situation and get warned in a timely fashion. In communist countries like Russia and China the wealthy class has been looked down upon. Either now or later this trend will spread in the entire world. None will get God’s help to serve sweet food, sacred water etc to their deity and icons. None should look upon himself/herself as religious and spiritual just because he/she chants Mantras and drinks sacred river water of the Ganges. Those artists and brilliant people who earn a lot of wealth will be examined as to whether they actually spend the least for themselves and generously use the rest for world uplifting tasks. The kingdoms of kings and lands of landowners have gone. Now the wealth of the rich will go. Government taxes are increasing by the day. Taxes related to income, wealth, death etc are being slapped on all. In a few years society will have direct access to the wealth of individuals. This, although is a bitter truth is a bare reality. Hence every rich person must be forewarned and advised not to hoard wealth for their children-grandchildren, not live in wealthy pomp, not bury gold etc underground and abstain from filling vaults. By doing this instead of honor they will face censure.

If one insists on leaving wealth for children up to 7 generations it is akin to behaving harshly with them. Wealth attained without hard work makes man vile and thus enters a dire pitfall. None should make their children lazy and indolent. No doubt one must help educate them so as to become upright financially independent citizens but it is very undesirable that an adult child lives on free cash passed on to him/her by their parents. After looking into the financial needs of the family excess wealth must be donated for that society which experiences various types of lack. No doubt the father’s wealth must go to the child but the latter too must use it for uplifting world society. Miserliness in any form leads to society’s downfall. A son forcefully snatches away wealth of aged parents by harassing them. A father fearing the onslaught of his children uses minimal wealth for philanthropy. He gets scared to give wealth to daughters too. This prejudice towards male children in comparison to female counterparts is no less dire than socialism, capitalism, terrorism etc. Every wealthy person should be told that inheriting right of his wealth goes not only to his descendants but entire world society. If out of narrowness only sons will be given this wealth then in future he will have to face a lot of opposition and none will sympathize with him. Children who live on wealth inherited from their ancestors without any effort on their part will be censured by society. Hence children should stand up and request their parents to donate generously for world welfare.

In the absence of wealth Rana Pratap found it virtually impossible to uphold the freedom of his kingdom and at that time the great philanthropist Bhamashah came forward. Today finance is most required to establish and protect freedom of world humanity’s intellectual, social and ethical freedom. The chariot of thought revolution is standing still in the absence of various means. The flame of Wisdom Yajna cannot be lit in the absence of fuel. Social blind rituals and beliefs are inducing bondage in society. Although the army of righteousness has entered the war field so as to obstruct wrong ideologies and distorted thinking it does not have money to buy necessary weapons. Hence every generous wealthy person must donate towards such righteous causes the world over. Hence God has challenged the wealthy class. If they refuse to hear this divine command they must remember that in comparison to generosity this wiliness of their in amassing wealth will prove to be very expensive and pain ridden.

The basis of the principle of “world as one family”

Friday, September 16th, 2011

God has sent man on planet earth after giving him a lot of things. No doubt from the bodily standpoint, human beings are weaker than many other creatures. Yet from the intellectual/wisdom viewpoint, whatever capability humanity possesses in it Almighty God has given it so much knowledge that he surpasses all creatures of the world. Maybe individuals in comparison to their fellow humans think themselves lacking in things and helpless yet the bare reality is that neither man lacks anything and nor is he weak and poverty stricken. Truly only he/she must wail aloud who despite being wealthy experiences discontent. In fact even people living in helpless conditions in actuality lack nothing and require no one’s pity.

Even after accepting one’s importance and supremacy hidden in man’s inner conscious personality is the sentiment of greatness. It is a fact that even the most sorrowful person in order to ward off strife does not choose death. It is another thing that due to frenzied emotions someone commits suicide yet the truth is that in the core of man’s conscious soul lie sentiments of greatness of life as a result of which even under dire conditions man avoids death.

As a result of external situations man may be said to be leading an ordinary life but the fact is that even if at birth many do not attain much yet something definitely has been attained by him. Man possesses inner mental power and miraculous potential of the brain. With the help of both, man can use materials of the world that are available and own them. On noting miracles of the intellect we can say man has created this world full of material means and comfort.

Man with the radiant skills of his brain has created various branches of knowledge and science. Further he has limitlessly increased his material comforts. Yet man is not satiated which is astounding. Daily he makes efforts to add to material comforts. These efforts have never stopped and are only increasing all the time. As a result we can hope that in the future he will be wealthier as far as material means are concerned.

Without doubt we can say that man’s grandeur has augmented since he has amassed a lot of comforts via skills of the intellect. Of course such grandeur is full of incompleteness, ordinary and lack oriented. The reason behind this is error as far as thought and power of understanding is concerned. In a gist we can only say that in comparison to other creatures of the world man is wealthier and not only this but that in comparison to his ancestors he is more advanced regarding amassing material comforts. If the material progress status of ancient mankind is compared to that of modern humanity the difference is akin to sky and earth. Not only this but that from the standpoint of wealth and ownership of material means of human society living 200 years back is compared to that of modern mankind we have to accept that today’s attainments could not even have been dreamt of by human society 200 years back. This progress is not only extraordinary but mind boggling too. In order to attain it the onus lies with man’s brilliant intellect and great efforts.

If human achievements are cogitated upon from the viewpoint of widespread all pervasiveness then contemporary situations are doubtlessly said to be joyous destiny. But if a question is asked as to whether all these attainments have been used wholesomely than the answer is definitely no. Since we do not know how to use our achievements wholesomely and thoughtlessly we have used them without self control a situation of mass destruction and downfall has emerged. Today modern science has progressed swiftly. If its power is used creatively then many world well being tasks can be executed like control of weather influences, stopping of destruction resulting due to storms, control of rainfall and floods, overcoming saltiness of sea water, augmenting food grain production, producing more electricity, augmenting transport based comforts and controlling epidemics and various diseases. Thus today’s world can be rendered happier, beautiful and more progressive.

Today a lot of human effort goes into education, sculpture, wealth and knowledge. But we think it unnecessary to mull over its wholesome usage which can lead to world peace and prosperity. If we continuously ignore all this then increased vaults of material comforts and technology will in future become a terrible creator of human destruction and downfall.

For example modern science by succeeding in unearthing atomic power an infinite storehouse of energy has been attained by mankind but yet instead of apt use there is misuse of it. By inventing the atomic bomb so much of it has been amassed that in one tiny moment the entire world can be destroyed. In a publication by UNO it has been said that such a vault of atomic bombs and nuclear weapons are in the possession of nuclear technology possessing nations that not just once but 7 times this earth can be destroyed due to its misuse.

As a result due to the grace of science more wealth can be generated in comparison to ancient times. Many means of generating wealth have advanced further. Since these means are misused it goes into activities of sense merriment and oppression of innocent people. Artistic skills, by pulling mankind towards beastly acts have put it on the path of taints. Education has bloated the human ego and arrogance has deluded the ordinary layman. This taint is not limited to a particular region but has spread all round the globe.

Human body possesses such glories that if they are used optimally man can enter the portals of divinity. In comparison to his mental state his potential as astonishing. If only it is used for creative world welfare tasks then the glory of earth can super cede heaven too. But it is our ill fate that these utterances of greatness are not being imbibed by majority of people.

Every sense organ of man is self experiencing. Through its medium life becomes well managed. It is required to sustain life and man has been given enough wealth by Almighty God which is seen as life force. It is required that a portion of it be used via sense organs so that man’s life is sustained. Yet mankind wastes so much of this energy in vain sense titillation that since total life force is misused nothing remains to pursue a higher stature spiritual life. Regarding this ‘League for Spiritual Discovery’ (Italian branch) has published a book on widespread nature of inner consciousness and its manifestation. In this book while giving many logical proofs, examples etc it has been elucidated if selfish pursuit of wealth and sense organ enjoyment predominate man will stay far away from his inner unlimited divine energy. In such activities an attraction of lowly stature is so manifold that it fails to give world humans an opportunity to think of greatness and sacred ideals.

In reality instead of misusing the inner conscious power via sense organs for lowly tasks its great energy is obstructed from a downfall and is used for great goals then via wholesome usage of this great power man too can become great. A question is asked that after obstructing its downfall why it is not used for high stature endeavors? The answer is one that despite putting forth a very useful program of society whose goal includes human righteousness, ethics and good behavior yet so much of selfishness and prejudiced got mixed with it as a result of which use turned into misuse so that only injustice ruled the roost. Feudalism of middle era too was of this type wherein one class of society thinks it is ‘valiant’ to demean other sections of society. Thus they not only amassed wealth but praise too. The history of middle era ended with a lot of fights and in its pages those attacking people were written about as soldiers.

What a despicable humor of such valor? In this manner despite religion being spread out everywhere, its importance instead of increasing decreased. In previous times a measure of double faced ethics was in vogue. Ethics were measured differently, based on whether the person concerned was a relative, friend etc or was he/she an alien. In this manner so much is talked about regarding so called religiosity and ethical standards that in its teaching based on how conducive they are ethics, righteousness, generosity, cooperation are included. People are not taught that they should act wholesomely to even those who are not related to them in any way. Those outside ones circle, even if it is a neighbor must be looted and cheated. This behavior is neither abhorred nor looked down upon. In many religion sects those who do not act thus are called lowly and irreligious and people are incited to loot them.

Many people feel good wisdom is enough for solution to problems and world progress. They feel only education renders man civilized. Many opine that only religious beliefs uplift humanity. Yet these beliefs are one sided and incomplete. What is required is that after nearing a problem and on mulling about it one must find out whether those who possess wisdom, wealth and means are making apt use of it or not.

When society was not progressed, today’s comforts were not there and humanity had not evolved man utilized his energy in limited amounts for taints and accruing losses. Today this situation no longer exists. Today such means are available that if man so wishes he can incur limitless damage to world society with its aid. Under conditions that lacked apt means our forefathers spread good thinking in limited measure in limited regions. In this manner when in ancient times the world was scattered and man possessed limited means bad tasks gave limited losses. Today modern science has rendered planet earth into a tiny global village. Due to means of space and earth differences have been shortened and the world’s various nations appear like roads and alleys.

Under such conditions if any person or organization desire to misuse these means it can inflict immense loss and entire humanity will face danger. If someone so desires he/she via greatness can transform this world. Science has given mankind so many means and comforts that it is not apt to think of differences based on sect, religion, community etc. and instead a widespread viewpoint will have to be imbibed. The world verily has become small and since science has advanced so much we will have to accept that the world today is like one family. This progress is the result of man’s intellectual prowess. It is required that by looking upon the world as a family means and comforts be utilized aptly.

This entire world is one nation. Human community has only one lineage. All have equal rights regarding means that are natural. All humans are children of Almighty God. As a result of sentiments of ‘World as one family’ or ‘Vasudhaiva kutumb’ there was a time when world humanity was united. There was no dearth of means, there was no lack of comforts and at that time there was no danger or opposition but when the world commenced partitioning at that time sorrowful situations of lack had to be faced. In those days narrow minded sentiments of sectarianism, lineage, nationalism, language based differences etc did not exist. As a result the world was united equal, sacred, loving, cooperation, sense of oneness etc and thus man resided in a heaven like earth. Everywhere spread an environment of peace and joy.

Now in order to recreate heavenly situations of ancient times we must take recourse to world unity and obstacles on this path must be uprooted. In order to create disparity in humans bad elements have played a major role. Ordinarily they can be classified into 3 categories.

1.      Nationality based communalism
2.      Religious differences
3.      Language differences

The above 3 play a major role in manifesting hatred between various world nations. Thus efforts of world peace have faltered a great deal. For many years institutions like UNO, Amnesty International, International Peace Foundation etc have tried establishing peace and security the world over but none are unaware of their failure to do so. In order to ward off wars many treatises for disarmament have been tried. Yet its major goal has not been attained. Everything just remains on paper as a result even today agitation and tension prevailing amongst many countries. Those countries who signed such documents bowed down to selfishness. They do believe that ethically they had to shoulder many responsibilities. History proves that in the past 2 decades the number of agitations and war like clouds are on the rise. It is definite that even today the above mentioned 3 elements are responsible for such agitating situations. In their presence all efforts made to establish world peace will prove to be a mockery akin to watering flowers, leaves etc of a tree instead of its very roots.

We are citizens of a particular country. Our responsibilities are limited to the borders of our country. Ethical and unlawful acts must be done only to benefit the country. Due to such erroneous thinking each nation fights with another. Clear patriotic instincts are required and useful for ones country. Since we are born and nurtured in a particular nation we must benefit it socially and ethically. In order that our country advances social values need to be imbibed. But when patriotism leans towards sectarianism it becomes a fearsome burden for world forces. In order to incite national sectarian sentiments political leaders and related powers use various types of psychological ploys. In the 18th century it was decided by British citizens that never will they become slaves of others. In fact they said they were born to rule others. As a result they worked towards extending British reign in other parts of the world. Despite a few centuries passing by even today they hold on to this arrogant viewpoint. Even French officials took recourse to such thinking. They proclaimed to their citizens that by taking recourse to bloodshed we will fill our farms. According to them this impure blood was that of Austrians. In opposition to this Nelson said that French people are devils. He commanded destruction of France. The result being that after 12 years of war soldiers harbored hatred for French people. Even Germany’s Hitler used such a ploy. He opined that German people were born to rule the entire world. In a few years he converted Germany into Nazis. Of course Hitler died but the dire reactions had to be faced by the Germans. Even today we witness this. Today many countries are trying to avert a war between 2 Muslim countries. A Muslim religious leader who leads his country’s government says Islam forbids friendship with enemy nations. In order to incite communal hatred when in the name of religion enmity is encouraged how can world peace manifest?

From the geographical standpoint too all countries have separated. Whichever country took over a particular region it became its wealth. Borders of countries were not demarcated based on which nation required which region. As a result despite the population being less with the help of armed forces every country took over excess land despite not actually needing it. In order to extend national borders many wars have taken place. In ever country’s borders infiltration is noted along with shelling by armies. Many people lose their lives. Ere the world had not been partitioned and instead was looked upon as collective wealth of entire world humanity then today’s fearful situations would not reign. Some countries possess a lot of natural resources like oil, petrol, mineral ores etc and others have very little of it. Thus some countries are very wealthy and others are poor due to lack of means and such wealth. The latter cannot thus advance. Ere this natural and other resources were looked upon as wealth belonging to whole of world humans such harrowing world situations faced today would not have emerged.

In order to provide security every country has to utilize a portion of its income. The collective spending of all nations of the world runs into billions of dollars. This is but a measure of what is declared by various nations. Whereas figures uncalculated are manifold more. So much spending is with reference only to national security. As long as nations are separated by geographical borders they will always experience insecurity.

The solution to this problem is that render the entire world as one single country. It is like in a particular country you have many states and that they exist peacefully. Every state yearns for national progress. Despite political power remaining with one person yet every state has a governor. They manage their respective states. No 2 states fight with each other. For the entire world a single world government will have to be designed. The borders of each nation will be akin to different states of one country. Despite being separate geographically they will be ruled by a single world government. The designing of method of justice, management, taxation etc will be uniform everywhere. Just as in 1 country you are free to move/travel from one state to another the same will hold true for various countries. There will be no obstruction as far as transport of materials is concerned. Today progress is limited to a few countries that are very rich thus you have the demarcation of haves and have not’s. When all nations will unite under one world government no country will monopolize advancement and progress of any sort.

The world government and law system will reign over the entire world. A world army will troubleshoot differences amongst nations and their unrest. Just as local police authorities manage a particular region such management will be seen everywhere. Thus war clouds will not manifest anywhere. It is nationalistic pride that creates wars with other nations. When the entire world will harbor sentiments of world patriotism just like being one world family who will fight with whom? The mere thought of a single world nation can give us goose pimples.

World unity is generally obstructed by religious and cultural differences. In ancient times there existed a single all pervasive and eternal religion. It was devoid of difference of opinion communal fights etc. It encouraged a sense of oneness, equality, good will and soul brotherhood. Its goal was only ethical and social rejuvenation. At that time there was no difference of opinion and instead they worked for situations that were conducive everywhere. Even after encouraging one’s own culture world unity did not falter. As time went by distortions got mixed and true religion got converted to communalism. Great goals became miniscule and superficial rituals reigned. As a result people imbibed only religious rites. Small big religious leaders cropped up. As a result hatred and difference of opinion was seen amongst them. There was a time when despite having varied cultures people were immersed in world neo creation and instilling advancement and truth in all. But this aim was forgotten and a distorted form of communalism took birth.

Just like the dream of one world nation we shall have to conjure a single world religion. Generally the underlying principles of all religions are eternal and same. Only their external forms differ. One cannot totally ignore these external differences because they are under the jurisdiction of conditions of a particular country which helps achieve progress. All religions will have to gather under one umbrella which are beyond the noose of place, time, sect, community, color difference etc and which helps man become generous and full of good will.

The belief that God loves one particular sect and not another is totally illusory and irrational. In fact loves/abhors only good/bad actions. One can attain God via justice, ethics goodwill and great actions. Where will God’s love for justice and farsightedness remain if we accept any religious sect without checking its qualities, nature and activities?

In reality Rishi-Munis in tandem with space and time have designed religious sects. As time lapses by changes are seen in these. In actuality eternal religion is a human duty and it must be adhered to. Every religion loving person by imbibing it wholeheartedly must follow it. This type of norms of an all pervasive religion will take the form of an ideal with reference to great ethical principles.

The 3rd obstacle regarding world unity is language based differences. The UNO recognizes only 5 languages. They are English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian. In India 15 languages are given weight age. Other world languages include German, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, Italian etc. Thus there are about 3000 world languages.

As a result of different languages everyone knows how difficult it is to communicate with one another. In this scientific age new research is conducted on a daily footing. Many streams of knowledge are emerging. Yet it takes years to communicate this from one nation to another because of language difference barrier. Thus scientific research benefits are not availed very speedily. Not only from the standpoint of time but financially too, a lot of obstacles are noted in disseminating knowledge. A new press has to be designed for each language. Separate typewriters and machines have to be made. As a result of limited selling publications become more expensive. If only one language prevails the world over then press machines will become cheaper and it will be easier for world public to read all this.

Languages play a major role in advancement of sentiment based relationships. When a person who understands only one language meets another person knowing it in a very far off region they easily bond with each other. Many obstacles are noted in establishing a bond with a person who fails to understand the language you know. In order to establish a sense of oneness amongst world humans a single language would be very helpful. If it is easy to avail of publication, study, teaching etc of various streams of knowledge via the medium of one language the progress of mankind will speed up a lot. Is there a single language which is useful for the entire world? For this a lot of tedious cogitation is required. A lot of effort towards this end will have to be made by language specialists.

Before this in entire world history never has world humanity aspired so much for peace and harbored detest for wars. In today’s times of era junction it is alive with great changes. History has brought the modern generation in such an era wherein it is required that those harboring goodwill must bring about those changes in which great people establish high stature ideals useful for world humans. This is only possible when one keep in mind the entire world and mankind and decides that first and foremost the above 3 obstacles need to be uprooted.

By materializing the dream of a world nation, world religion, world culture and world language many questions can be addressed. As a result world unity can be ushered in. also instead of the concept of ‘world united peacefully as one family’ remaining a mere figment of our imagination can actually be imbibed fully by all. On its basis difference of opinions, agitations, chaos and war clouds looming large the world over can be warded off. It is disparity, bias, activities encouraging differences/separateness that has filled the ordinary human life with many problems and questions. If the dream of human unity comes true then this hell like earth can be converted to heavenly joy, peace and comforts. In the universal role of neo creation every world individual, harboring goodwill must come forward and participate in this great mission.
